They said no…there’s nothing you can do to convince them otherwise.

You’re just going to have to wait until you’re old enough to decide for yourself.

Answer #3

Lol I tried at your age and it just never worked…

All you can do is do research, and talk to them like adults.

If they say no then your just gonna have to wait till you don’t need their permission…

Answer #4

Unfortunately, you’re /only/ 13, so you’re just going to have to wait until you’re old enough to make your own decisions.

Explain to them about the real meaning of piercings. Tell them that there’s nothing wrong with them, they’re simply forms of body art and self expresion. As long as they’re done professionally and taken care of, they’ll turn out just fine and you won’t have any issues with them. Let them know that piercings DON’T make you look like crap or anything. Piercings don’t make you any more or less attractive than you already are. Also fill them in on the fact that you CAN remove them if you’d ever decide you didn’t want them anymore later in life - simply take the jewlery out and don’t put it back in, the hole will close up and that’ll be that. And tell them not to worry about you getting a job or anything. People who say that you can’t get a job with piercings is FULL OF SH*T. You CAN get a job if you have piercings.

If even after all this, they STILL won’t give in… let it go. Try asking them again a few days/weeks/months later or just wait until your 18 so you can get them done WITHOUT parental consent. Don’t ever try to do them yourself just because your parents said no. Not only will you get in some major trouble with your parents, but the piercing won’t turn out right and is very likely to get infected. Piercings are meant to be done by professionals who actually know what they’re doing so don’t ever do them yourself.

I hope this helps you, if you need anything else… let me know.

What is a snake bite piercing? I am a 41 year old Mom and I have a 16 year old daughter and won’t let her get pierced. Where we live, people would judge her for it, if you live in a city it is more common, we live in a small town where there are not a lot of folks getting pierced, but if we get a tourist that is pierced up, they get stared at. So think of that, in a way your parents are protecting you from being judged. I am not saying it is right, but it does happen. Wait a little while until your a bit older and can convince them. I don’t even know what a snake bite is, so I am totally in the dark and I am one of the “cool” moms. My daughter is into the outdoors and her piercings could get in the way of rock climbing, taekwondo, rafting, horseback riding, backpacking and other such stuff. My niece is 13 and has lots of piercings, but she has a reputation for being easy as well, so I don’t know, it is a confusing thing for a kid your age. Trust your parents a bit, they have learned something living their years. Good luck.
