sleeping.

I can never get to sleep. it takes me like hours after im in bed to fall asleep. and this is reaaaly reallly annoying me. and school is the 8th and I wanna be able to not fall asleep so late, so I can not be tired all day the next day, any suggestions to help me get right to bed?

lol I was just bowt 2 say a question saying everything that you just said, all I can say is dont drink caffine before, + maybe read or colour before going to sleep. :]

Here are some things you could try:

  • Avoid caffeine and sugary things before bed. (both food and drinks)
  • Don’t eat large portions before bed. Light snacks are the trick.
  • Exercise, so you’ll be physically tired.
  • Take a short walk before bed.
  • Read. (it always gets me tired)
  • Try to relax. (stress can keep you up, so take a warm bath or do something to unwind)
  • Listen to relaxing music.
  • Try not to sleep in. (regular sleep times help)
  • Get up and go to bed at the same time. If you stay on track, usually it helps.
  • Avoid naps, if you currently take them and can’t sleep at night.

If you have excessive problems no matter what, though, you probably should see your doctor about it. Your doctor can further help you.
