Is my size normal for my height?

My measurements are 36-29-36 and I’m 5ft4 I weigh roughly 10 and a half stone. So is this normal or am I like overweight or something?

on google.com they have BMI caluclators.

According to the BMI calculator your BMI is 26.25, that is considered slightly overweight in BMI terms HOWEVER, you need to consider that if you are very active or have a heavier bone structure that this can throw our your results, myself for example I am heavy, but not overweight yet, due to muscle and my build. As for measurements, size 36 is pretty standard size, I don’t know about the waist measurement, but I don’t think it’s a large size specifically.

That depends on your activity level. BMI’s are flawed in that they only measure for the average person who does 1-2 days of exercise a week. Also, you have to take into account frame. Although bone density and frame don’t really make a significant difference, it matters because it helps to show how much weight the body can support before it looks “fat” or other things.

At 5’3” I weigh 10st 10lb. and on BMI calculators, it shows I am nearly 1st overweight because it only measures my height and weight as if it I was an average person. I am not the average person however, because I do intense exercise 4-6 days a week and am eating to gain mass, so really, I am healthy as an ox. Likewise, on BMI indexes, it shows that I am nearly 19.5% body fat, which is on the verge of being obese (for males), yet when I use skin calipers, my body fat is at 14.2% which is more accurate.

If you’re interested in being more accurate, go to a local gym or your doctor and ask to have your body checked so that you know if you’re overweight or not. Just from the weight and height, I’d say, for a woman, you are average weight.
