What can I do about this situation?

-> My boyfriend and I are both 14 years old. We’ve known each other for about 5 months and been together for 2. His my first love, and it may sound ridiculous for someone my age to say that I actually love him a lot. We just understand each other so well. I even had the courage to tell my guardians about him, and so did he. The problem is, we both know I’m leaving for my country (which is way across the world) later this year and we only have a few months left together. He promises me he can wait for me for 2 long years and will never let me go unless I let go. The thing is, we’re only 14. But I love him. And now IDK if I should call it quits before I leave or try out a long distance relationship, or just put our relationship on hold while Im gone. What should I do?

Answer #1

It never hurts to try, but remember that with your age the likely hood of yall making it is so very slim. Your only 14, and a long distance relationship for that long would kill even an older relationship. The truth hurts, but you will both move on, and youll find another love..

Answer #3

mandyloo is right .. the odds of the two of you staying together in a long distance relationship for two years is very very slim. considering you are both 14, chances are you will both meet people in that time span. it hurts to hear and it hurts to believe, but at such a young age, its hard to truely love, and you have so much life ahead of you that if you lose this one guy, you will find someone else. follow your heart. do what you think is right, just know the consequences and outcomes to your decisions
