Sims 3 moving into a new house

go to edit town. press on the evict your sims from the present house. then your sims will moved to the left side of the screen. that is to standby your sims. then press on your sims and choose which household you like them to move in. save it and the game will start all over again from the start. don’t panic here. just start the game but there’s this button where you can play the household that already in the game. press your sims and there you have it! problem solved!

I moved my sims into a new house but now I cant go into build or buy mode, or edit neighbourhood its been days but it still sais they are in the process of moving even long after they have finishes
