Should we take our puppy to the vet?

We recently adopted a six and a half month old golden retriever puppy. Since she’s been home for about a week, but she gets these hacking fits, but usually doesn’t throw up at all. Sometimes she hacks up a little spit, but ususally nothing. So this morning, she basically froze in the middle of the room. Her head lowered a little, and I thought she was tired. But a few seconds later, she threw up a six inch tall, seven inch across pile of what looked like wood. Not sticks, but a chewed block of wood. Should we take her to the vet? I already told my mom that we need to keep a closer eye on her..

Yes and some Vets are open until Noon today or take her to the ER VET. The hacking could also be anything from kennel cough to worms to the wood she has thrown up, but I would say she ate the wood because she is sick. Go to the Vets.
