Increased proximity, even though not in an OBVIOUS way. Side stares, ‘checking you out’ multiple times. Calibrating and tweaking her hair or dress suddenly upon you entering her field of vision. Obvious attention grabbing tendencies, like over animated laughter etc.

A guaranteed way to tell is by initiating a conversation and looking into her eyes. If she gets ‘bambi eyes’ or sparkly eyes upon you showing a little interest (emphasis, ‘little’ - lesser than you normally do), the fact that she ‘likes’ you is literally guaranteed. (It’s a biological response actually.) Or more accurately, the fact that she’s been into you for a while now.

However, this is a ‘general’ reply. It’s implications are universal.

Different shy girls are different with different aspects of ‘shy’ behavior. Unless you describe the ‘shy girl’ you speak of here, I cannot give you more precise advice.
