Should I tell my mom I masturbate?

I’m 14 and I masturbate but not finger stuff just rubbing my clit on a bear.. no big deal.. but im wondering if I should tell my mom about it because I have been doing it more often lately. I’m afraid it’ll be awkward because we never talked about this kind of thing and I don’t talk to her much about anything (my problems etc.). Please help!!

hell no why would you do that??? there are sum things in life that you just dont tell your parents and this is one of them

LOL, masturbating at your age is soo normal, seriously… you don’t have to tell your mom because her response would be sort of like “oh.. hun, thanks for telling me?”, sex and masturbating are two diff. things as you know, but for now just keep it to yourself.

Masturbation is harmless and healthy, and it’s can (and should) be kept private. No one has to know, and I’m pretty sure no one wants to know either.

But if you’re wondering why kids should tell their parents when they’re having sex and not masturbation, is because sex has HUGE responsibilities (that can potentially be long-term) and they want to make sure that you know what you’re getting into and how to protect yourself when you do start having sex.

It’s normal for teens your age to masterbate. Some people do 3 times a week some daily. It’s your life you don’t have to tell her anything. My mom STILL doesn’t know and I’m 20.
