should I get my GED?

I’m just so tired of school. I’ve missed almost this whole week because I pretended to be sick. I’m failing a lot of my classes now because I just don’t want to to do the work anymore. I don’t care about what I’m learning and it’s making it hard for me to keep working hard. I’m 17, I’m a junior, and I actually have more than enough credits right now (I have 47 and you only need 44). my gpa is actually and 2.7, so overall its alright and I did well on all of my regents and I’m taking my SAT in 2 weeks. but I just can’t bring myself to go to school or do anything. I just want to go to college already! it would be nice to end class early or have it at night and actually learn stuff I care about. but I’m so tired of high school! what’s so bad if I decided to get out right after I finish this year (then I’ll become a senior) and just take it this summer? I mean if I stay any longer I’ll probably fail everything. right now I’m already failing english and math, so I’ll have to take it next year again during pm school or something. I never used to be like this.. I guess I’m really sick and tired of it all…

I would say DEFINATELY!!! I encourage anyone who is thinking about getting their G.E.D to do it. I’m 17 and because of a some medical problems I had to become homeschooled in 9th grade. I decided that it would just be a lot faster to get my ged a few months ago! So I started at the end of february and I got my diploma in the mail about a week ago!!! It’s an amazing feeling to be finished with school a year early! I have to warn you that the second you leave your high school you will lose some friends and some rumors will be spread about you, but you can just shove it in their face that you graduated before they did! =] Hope I helped!!!
