Should I fish from the Des Moines fishing pier for salmon or from the beach by the Tacoma Narrows Bridge for salmon? Has anyone been to any of these places? Which one would you suggest? Also from the beach, I would be fly fishing and from the pier I will be using lures and probably bait. Please suggest flies,lures and bait. Please help.
Any pier is going to be "overfished" generally speaking...so, the bridge would be your better bet.
In terms of what fishing equipment to use to catch salmon, patience is the biggest deal, followed by flies (realistic ones, if possible) and or smaller fish bits might work...trial & error when fishing is your best friend :)
