Should I ask for my job back?

this is a long story but I need help. I work in a gas stations deli making pizza my hours go cut to 7 a week because someone didn’t like how their pizza was shaped. It tasted fine they just didn’t like the shape. I got really upset because that is my only job and I would be getting paid less then $200 a month and I NEED more than that. So I was upset and not talking to anyone because everytime I tried I started to cry because there is no way I can servive on that little. So my bosses wife was like ‘are you okay, whats wrong’ and I said ‘I’m fine’ but it probably sounded kind of snotty cause I couldn’t talk good. So then my boss started yelling at me that I shouldn’t be talking to his wife like that and that he should fire me. I got so upset that I just screamed ‘I QUIT’ at him and walked out the door. He has been having it rough lately because he got broke into someone else quit out of the blue and there was a storm last night that wiped out the power. He was kind of taking his frustration out on me and I know that isn’t right but I really do need the money.

Personally I think that maybe you should find another job. If they cut your hours down that far because of the shape of a pizza, its not worth all the aggrevation. However, I suggest having a talk with your boss and his wife explaining why behaved that way, and apologize. If they offer you the job back, take it until you can find a better job, but keep looking… this way when you find a new job, you will have a good reference. Also, if they do give you back your job, and you find another, put in a two weeks notice, so you leave on good terms. Good Luck!

I would ask only if you really want to work there taking a cut in hours. Start off by apologizing profusely to him and his wife to smooth things over. Go there with a positive attitude and a smile, but know that you could get rejected. If you get turned away, still be sincere with your apology when you leave. Let it be a lesson learned and search for another job. There are recruitment company in most large towns that could help find you a job. They tell you about the job and pay and you tell them if you’re interested in interviewing with the company. Search the yellow pages for employment agencies. Most search for you for free and the company that hires you pays the company a fee. Make sure the company doesn’t charge you a fee. Most don’t, but it’s safe to ask. These companies do ask you what part of town you prefer to work and some offer computer training as well. Unfortunately, we’re supposed to look frickin’ happy at all times at work, never raise our voice to anyone, and get along even if you have to bite your tongue. Been there, done that. Good luck to you! :) YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE BY ASKING.

Sounds that chick that didnt like the ‘shape’ of her pizza had it in for you that b!tch. Well do you really think that job is worth it. First I would see if there were any other jobs that paid more or had more hours. If that doesnt work out then sure go back to him. But do it quick or there might not be the second option

the thing is though he could probably have someone in there tomorrow and I might be able to find a job but it may take a while because I don’t think that I am going to get a good review even though I worked really hard. there are plenty of places but with so many people coming to the area jobs are becoming limited and scarce.
