Shakespeare is screwing my life, how should I handle this?

My girlfriend’s english class is reading Romeo and Juliet. While the only piece of Shakespeare I like, I was a little troubled when she told me she was assigned the part of Juliet to act out in class. I’ve read the play before and I’m able to say I understand many of the hidden messages in it and understanding Shakespeare’s style of writing is easy and simply put, it is a highly sexual story and then there is that wonderful kissing scene in it. Though I won’t have to watch this take place, just knowing it is enough to drive me to insanity. Her teacher won’t let her get out of doing it and she isn’t to thrilled about it. Any advice on what to do or how to take it?

Well im perty sure that if you have her ask the teahcer about the kissing scene the teahcer wont make her do it, but the only reason she is probuly excited about it is because Its shakespeare and hello almost every girl wants to be JULIET and shes siked that she got the part lol you should feel happy for her but I understand completley lol I mean I wouldn’t be to happy if my boyfriend got romeo but she’s probully just reading a story when actin it out meaning theirs nothing behind the words she says in the script because it was written to say by Juliet to Romeo. hope this helped your worrying lol

She doesn’t have to kiss that guy they can angle their heads so the kiss looks real but isn’t.
