How can I talk to my parents about an abstinance ring?

Well,okay so im 14 and im realy thinking about getting an abstinance ring. In one of my classes we had l;ike this work shop thingy about it,it realy opened my eyes to the truth about sex,and I realize im realy not ready for it. It realy hit close because my mom had me and a realy young age and she is always stressing me not too make the same mistake she did,and hearing what she went thru I don’t want to go thru it. My boyfriend is also thinkin about it too. Im not realy sure how to talk to my parents about this any ideas? and are they expensive? lol

Baby rea, Your Mom will have no trouble at all when you tell her. The one thing I DO urge you to do though, is when you are being taught about condoms, BC pills, and EC pills that you pay attention - for two reasons. 1.) Friends of yours who may not be as dedicated as you may need help. If your bff told you that she was about to ‘do it’ with her boyfriend, you could remind her to use protection, or where to get it, or how to use it. 2.) In the slight event that you decide to ‘do it’ you will know how to protect yourself. If your school doesn’t teach preventive steps, when you are ready to ask, Planned Parenthood can help. There should be no problem talking to them…if anything they’ll be ecstatic lol. There are rings that don’t cost much at all… $15-$20. (they’re usually called purity rings). But that’s really good to hear and stay strong, don’t give in to your hormones. :)

There’s a website that has cheap ones, I’ll try to remember it.

wow that is a very smart idea I think you should talked to your mom about it I think she would be really glad you had the courage to go talk to her about it and I think it will make her feel good in the sense you actually took her advice and I dunno if they are expensive but im sure you can look them up online somewhere try google!
