Should I wait a year, or work through the summer to attend college in September?
I want to go to Northern Lights College to take their carpentry course but I’m not sure if I want to work my butt off over the summer to get $5000ish bucks for tuition, books and rez (this is a very rough estimation I ave yet to find out what rez will cost) and go this September or take a year to work and go down with extra money delaying my journeyman ticket and red seal an extra year. Also does anyone know if I can bring my bf down to live in rez with me?
ultimantly, its your choice.
Many people choose to take a year off before heading to college, as it gives them more time to work and build up enough money to get them through … however, many people also fail to return to school after that year off, choosing instead to stay in the workforce. That decision is ultimately up to you. As for your boyfriend - I’ve not heard of any residence that will allow you to co-habitate with your boyfriend.
According to their website you have to apply to get into residence, which is $50. Then you need to have a $195 damage deposit. To reserve a room in the residence you would need to submit the completed residence application form as well as $245. Additionally, rent is $420 a month. (Here is a summary of their details, which is where I got my information from: http://funadvice.com/r/bim5l9i2kb8 )
In any case, the choice is entirely up to you. Your boyfriend will more than likely NOT be allowed to live with you, as residence is reserved for students of the college only and all dorms are sectioned off gender wise otherwise (all of your roommates will be girls only). If you want to live with him, you’d probably have to live off of residence and rent an apartment together.
What you need to do is sit down and actually gather together all of your costs, needs, and things you need to set up before you go to college. Base your decision off of the facts, and whether or not you’re ready to go ahead.
it is ur chice for sure but i just suggest to never waste ur time n u’ll earn a ur in ur life to do whatever u want then after finishing the basics in life .thats wat i av done in my life
