School trouble

Ok so I switched schools recently and became popular rite away I thought it would be easy but they all want me to do stuff I dont want to do like going to parties and getting wasted I want to be popular but is it worth risking my health?

Answer #1

It’s all up to you, but I’ve seen/experienced cases. I highly advise you don’t, you’re really, really, really going to regret any mistakes you take, for a very long time. You shouldn’t care about being ‘popular’, take pride in ‘individuality’ more than being in a crowd for recognition.

Answer #2

Hell no, be yourself. By the time you get out of school, ‘popularity’ will not matter anymore and most of your ‘friends’ will forget who the popular kid was by then anyway.

Answer #3

well don’t let them weaken you, but getting trashed isn’t that great hahaha I think they’re all just a little immature.

Answer #4

NOnNO I’m popular in school, and they always want me to go to parties and get all wasted… but I don’t always go, most of the time I tell them that I’m popular in a good different way, show them you’re strong by telling them this… like or not I’m not as dirty as snot, I freeze when it’s cold, I mult when it’s hot!!! so don’t go around telling me what’s good for me and what’s not!!! something like this lolz they will accept it!! dont worry they’ll get used to you the way they got used to me!! but HEY, it doesn’t mean you stop going to parties!!! I mean… why not have a little fun sometime??

Answer #5

Not worth risking your Health and/or compromising values - be yourself !

Answer #6

Don’t do anything you don’t want to do. Be yourself!

Answer #7

Im going to have to say to be yourself,,,don’t listen to them,,,and anyways the time you get out of school how popular you have been will not matter, just do good in your studies and you can still be popular, I promise!

Answer #8

Yep

General consensus: Do what you feel like doing. Value your individuality over being popular - peer pressure sometimes turns students into drones. So if you are uncomfortable with your current group of friends, do something else!

Answer #9

ha well. this reminds me of this poster that all of my teachers have in their room it goes something like

30 years from now it wont matter what jeans you wore how your hair looked who you hung out with what will matter is what you learned and how you used it

dont do anything you dont want to do

Answer #10

No. If you don’t want to, then don’t. Obviously, they aren’t your real friends or they would understand it. It isn’t worth it. Your life can be screwed over if you do. But it really is up to you.
