Do you think it's safe for a woman to travel alone?

I am 32 years old have never traveled before. I want to travel to California and vacation there for a week or 2. I don’t know anyone there and would just like others opinions on whether or not you think it’s safe for a woman who has never traveled before (especially not alone) to travel that so far away where I have no friends or family?

It depends where you go in California. There are some areas you probably wouldn’t want to be alone, but I’m sure if you stayed in the nicer areas you’ll be fine.

There is never a guarantee of safety for anyone anywhere, but I wouldn’t let it stop you.

The best think you can do is just be vigilant, observant and be careful. Don’t be trusting of strangers…..remember many criminals don’t “look’ like one.

Having something to defend yourself with is a good idea too……..pepper spray, ect.

Keep in contact with someone back home and let them know where you are and how to reach you. Have fun and be safe.
