Running scared

Ok I joined cross country an I’m 17 and I have never join a sport before an I’m only doing it because it could be good to put on a college application. Im a skinny girl but I’m not fit so should I be worry, I dont work out and so I’m worry about the first pratice next week so should I be?

Yeah, I agree. I suggest you start taking some running exercises / activities on your own free time or when you’re at home. I would run // fast jog for twenty minutes straight. If you can’t do that, just start slow with like ten minutes straight then slowly progress. Don’t worry, you’ll get better with practice. *Walking also helps you build leg strength, but much slower, so you would have to walk for an insanely long time each day. :D

I don’t know if this is true at all, some people say running is ‘90% mental, 10% physical.’ Perhaps true or not true, just letting you know.

If you have physical education at your high school as well, that should help you too. Hope this helps. :3

Cross Country Is Extremely Difficult. People Train For Months Before Actually Doing The Run. Doing a lot Of Working Out Should Help You. Take The Practises At Your Own Pace So You Can Get Ued To Them. Hope I Helped :]
