I used to have a dream catcher and that worked for me. I bought it at an American Indian store. You can also look up on the internet on how to make one yourself which is more fun to do if you’re into crafts. Good luck!

Apparently a dream catcher will work, but it works because people say that it catches all your bad dreams.. It works in a way that because you know that it is there, you think positive in your head because you think you won’t have bad dreams.. Did that all make sense? :3

Also, lying on your back has an effect on bad dreams? I heard about it and ever since I have lay on my side or front.. Haven’t had a bad dream for years!.. When I lay on my front they are often sexual related dreams? Might just be me and my dirty mind though…..

You could watch a film before you sleep? Not a horror film or anything. I normally watch love films, action or anything like that which will make me happy or feel good.

Talk to someone before you sleep? A friend would be best! Just talk for about 20 minutes or until you feel really sleepy and then turn your phone or what ever off and close your eyes.. I normally fall asleep pretty quick and have amazing dreams that often do involve my friends:D

If all else fails and you are constantly having really horrible dreams, or nightmares as others will call them I would advise going to see a therapist and see if they can switch your mind around at night.. Just what ever happens, before you sleep do anything which will make you feel positive and ready for a good night sleep!

I hope this helped in any way at all :-)

Sometimes it’s what you’re eating before bed time- fruit and nuts sometimes affect your dreams as your body digests them differently and affects your brain patterns or something like that… I saw a doco on it ages ago, can’t quite remember why it affects your dreams but it does.. You could try exercising (not before bed, but just generally during the day) as it gets rid of excess energy and built up charges in your body that could be responsible for your brain being overactive at night. Just some ideas.

I had this phase where I had bad dreams frequently when I was about 13, and honestly just before going to bed I thought about the cookie monster and lovely chocolate chip cookies, because it made me happy. So just think about happy thoughts before going to bed. I’ve noticed whatever I watch or think about before bed has a major impact on what I dream about.
