Do you think Ticuna Indians should modernise and join 21st century?

Answer #1

Not really … every person should have the freedom to live by their traditions.

Answer #2

I’ve heard of the Ticuna Indians but not the Ricuna Indians but either way No, I think they have their own traditions and props to them for sticking with them for this long. Who are we to tell them to stop everything thats been handed down through hundreds of generations.

Answer #3

I think that’s what she meant … fixed it, thanks :)

Answer #4

If they choose to modernise - well, yes. But they shouldn’t have to. There’s no superiority in being “modern” and no real drawback in being “traditional”. I would hope that individual members of the Ticuna are free to leave and join modern society if they wish. Otherwise let’s leave the indigenous peoples of this world to develop at their own pace.

Answer #5

Nope. The Amish people don’t do it either… so why would the Ticuna?

Answer #6

If Anything We Should Be Acting Like Them Since Any Native Americans Were Here First So We Should Be Like Them And Not Have Made Them Change Anything About Their Heritage Or Home.
