Reunited with boss's son after years

I recently got back in touch randomly with my old bosses’ son from college on facebook and he asked me to a wedding of a good friend of his. I remember how he used to look at me when he would see me at the office (he didn’t work there) and I didn’t mind bc I kind of liked him, too. My sister still works there and everytime she sees him he inquired about me, apparently. He is a doctor and right now he is out of town doing his residency, but he calls me a couple of times a week. For almost two weeks he didn’t call me, and that sort of upset me so I emailed him to ask what was going on. He called me that day and apologized profusely, once on a voice message and another time in a conversation we had. Both times, however he kept on saying that he wanted to be friends. Is it just me or is all this just strange? I stopped dating for awhile to avoid this kind of drama. Initially I did just want to be friends w him, but when you are asked to a wedding and a rehearsal dinner and this guy is calling you, what is a girl supposed to think? Now I don’t want to be friends. I want us to date like normal people. I could see why it would be difficult since he lives a few hours away and he is working 90 hours a week, but I still want that. Please help. My mom is deceased and I don’t really have anyone reliable to ask advice. My girl friends, of course tell me what I want to hear.

Answer #1

Accept the invitation to the wedding, watch in his eyes, ask him about his feelings, and you will see that how to continue.

Answer #2

If he is doing his residency then that would explain why he didnt call. He has to be super busy and super tired. To be on the safe side, don’t read to much into being invited to a wedding. Just because he invites you to one does not mean he is looking to get hitched. Dating=drama. Always has and always will. If it was me I would go and have a good time. Don’t push things and see where it leads.
