How to remove keloids from your ears?

i dont know if i spelt that right , but i have a keliod in each ear, and how can i prevent keloids? im wondering because i just got my whole entire ear pierced all the way up and i dont want my ears to be one big keliod, right now its just a small unnoticable keliod from one of my old ear piercings.

You’ll have to see a doctor or dermatologist about it. Keloids can be surgically removed, but it’s very dangerous as it can just result in more scar tissue and a larger keloid. Since you knew you were prone to keloids you should have thought about this before you got pierced. Good luck to you :/

i didnt know i was prone to keliods i didnt even know it was a keliod because i looked at pictures of keloids and mine doesnt even look like one all it is is the whole to my piercing from when i was a baby and its darker around the whole but its flat, mabey its just a scab not a keliod, most people are telling me its a scab but one person said its a keliod so now im freeking out and just want to know how to remove it just in case it actually is one so actually i shouldnt of thought about before i got pierced if i didnt know at the time:/

After 15 or so years I’m sure a scab would have cleared up by now. I’d have got it checked out, some can’t be removed - they can only get worse. Any lumps surrounding a piercing could possibly be a piercing. The basic thing is if it hurts, oozes pus and/or bleeds then it’s not a keloid. I’d have get it checked out just to be sure since I was about to pierce my entire ear. It’s risky business

Answer #4

it doesnt hurt but it bleeds evry time i try to repierc it and put my earings back in one of my friends said it might be a scab from taking it in and out again because when you do that it keeps ripping, but im not sure, so ill just get it checked

Answer #5

Yeah I’m sorry, I’m not like a pro in this so that’s as much help I can give you I suppose. I just hope for your sake that it’s not a keloid :]

lol thanx

Answer #7

Are you positive its jkeloid and not hypertrophic scarring? Keloids are a red-ish purple-ish color, theyre like scar tissue that grows and grows, the only way to get rid of them is surgery, if it’s hypertrophic scarring then it’s a white bump of scar tissue that doesnt grow bigger than the piercing. Hopefully thats what it is. If so, drop me a line and i’ll give you a method of getting rid of it.

Answer #8

what you described is what mine kindof looks like it hasnt grown it isnt really that noticable, nobody noticed until i pointed it out

Answer #9

Keloids cannot be removed at home, you either have to have it surgically removed (which still holds a chance that it will grow back) or have a series of steroid injections to encourage it to get smaller and eventually disappear. What you have may not be a keloid though, it could just be scar tissue. I’d get it checked out.
