Red hair dye washes out in my hair

red doesn’t hold in ANYONE’S hair. if you really want it to stay longer, wash your head in ONLY cold water. that will help a bit, but not much. Just dont’ dye your hair red.

Red holds in my hair now that it is back in good shape. Make sure you are using a good conditioner and your hair is in good shape. You can buy shampoos and conditioners that are formulated to help maintain hair color also. I just use Image hair care products for dry hair and mine is doing great. I usually have to color about every 2 months because my gray starts to show a little and I refuse to go gray yet.

Yeah yeah! There is this wicked shampoo by Schwartkopf… its especially for girlies wil red hair, and I used to swear by it. I had a lush cherry red on my hair, and it kept it like that for aaages because it has some of the elements of hairdye in it.

there are shampoos and cremes that you put in your hair that help protect hair color from washout.
