How to Raise Money for Breast Cancer?

There is MakeingStrides coming to a city near me this October and i would like to be able to donate and walk with others. I was wondering if anyone had any brilliant ways to raise money for this. I was thinking i could talk to my school and somehow do a fun raiser. but I’m not sure what would inspire any of the kids at my high-school to donate. i don’t have a sad story about something that has happened in my life to tell them. I’m also not a person who likes to stand and present myself but i will do what i need to if anyone has any ideas/and or is doing this too/ or would like to share how breast-cancer has effected there lives in anyway, please comment.

That’s not even an answer O_o What was your purpose in even writing that? It didn’t state anything.

Answer #4

Bake sale, like Morgan said. Maybe do a car wash of some kind? Ask people if they would donates things and have people buy tickets and raffle them off, that usually works alright. Or even just like, a giant yard sale, where everyone brigs in decent things to sell.

Answer #7

Yes, but she’s asking specifics, she’s already made it clear that she intends to raise money and is asking for methods of doing so. Not for someone to confirm that she is, indeed, going to be raising money.

  1. People like food. Especially sweet stuff.
  2. No one wants to buy random stuff from a teenager. If you’re good at crafts, trying making something useful, or wearable, that other kids don’t have the materials or patience to make. Otherwise, I’d think of something different. You could always go door to door, but you’re not likely to get much that way. Another thing to think about, some restaurants have a program where you can pick a day, have a group of your friends or classmates work the waiter’s jobs while the cooks make the food. Friendly’s does it, if you’re looking for a place. The last time we did it, our profit was in the 400s.
