Questions about God

If God can, and is able to, do anything then how can you explain anything in this world? If God’s abilities are inmumberable, how can this being justify his being able to make anything happen. When there are limitless actions that the creator of absolutely anything can take, how can this creator really decide to do anything. How do you define God? Don’t settle this argument on a ‘God’s-able-to-do-whatever-it-likes-as-it’s-able-to’ basis.

Answer #1

The answers you seek are all in the Bible - it’s up to you to accept or reject those answers…Take care !!

Answer #2

“How do you define God?”

“Science and God?”

Science may not be able to substantiate Creation and Reality, as it is limited to the physical dimension, but neither can it refute that that is.

God is a Tree

God is a Tree, – We are Its Roots; Its Trunk; Its Branches; Its Buds; and Its Seeds!

“Because the blind man cannot see the moon does not negate the moon’s existence or its effects upon the earth.”

“Has God been around forever? And please don’t use the ‘God invented time’ or ‘God is not confined to the laws of time’ excuses. Because I see a few problems with either answer.”

eternal adj.

Being without beginning or end; existing outside of time.

God exists outside of time and the universe.

We, our physical selves, exist within time and the universe and had a beginning and will have an end.

God is the Alpha and Omega of the universe.

The problems aren’t with either answer but with foundations upon which the questions are based.

Forever doesn’t exist. It is man’s concept because man perceives of time as a “forever” existent.

God exists outside of the universe. God caused the creation of the universe with the instant of the big bang. From that moment time came into being.

Time is finite in going backward but may be infinite in going forward.

Man can’t perceive of the reality in which God IS. By attempting to confine God to our understanding of reality we create the basis for false assumptions.

We are each entitled to our own belief systems. You are entitled to yours and I respect that. In my belief system I don’t accept Jesus and conventional Christian doctrine.

I believe that we are all part of the Fabric of God and that we will all eventually gravitate back into the Oneness of God regardless of the errors that may have occurred along our paths back to that Oneness.

We are because God Is. God Is that we are. We all eventually return to God though by varied paths.

What I believe!

I don’t believe in Heaven! I do believe in reincarnation! (Rebirth of the soul in another body.)

I believe that everyone is part of the spiritual composition/soul of God. The purpose of everyone is to go forth into the earth plane and other planes to “experience” and to ultimately gravitate back into the Oneness of God.

Along their paths of experience/knowledge acquisition, many entities (the spiritual particles of God) choose to enter (incarnate/reincarnate) the earth plane with various goals as purpose.

When the entity’s physical body dies the entity goes back to a state or plane of existence where it considers its immediate past. It judges whether it accomplished those goals that it set out to accomplish and determines in which plane and under what circumstances it may need to incarnate in order to accomplish additional goals on its way back to the Oneness of God.

Essentially, the entity is its own judge as to accomplishments, failures, goals and the circumstances under which it chooses to incarnate.

The above is my opinion and is expounded upon in my treatise A Search For Truth:

We all have and need our own Beliefs! But, we need to acknowledge and understand the Beliefs of others in order to facilitate a peaceful and pleasant cohabitation in this life.

The information given in “A Search For Truth” is given to you simply as an insight into my philosophy and my understanding of this life.

My giving it to you is not an attempt to sway you from your Beliefs, but is the dissemination of additional information upon the sparkle of which foundations are established.

Blessed Be,

“The answers you seek are all in the Bible - it’s up to you to accept or reject those answers…Take care !!”

It’s almost like you cut and paste this answer in response to these kinds of posts.

The truth is, the Bible provides very little insight into why God behaves as he does. If you read the Old Testament carefully, which few Christians seem to do, you’ll see that God’s actions are questioned several times by the writers. Sometimes they are openly angry with God and despair at the state of the world. Job, one of the most classic works of all time on human suffering, is a fascinating book. It’s also very disturbing, because in the end God gives Job no real reason why the good seem to suffer in this world, but simply puts his finger on Job and squashes his concerns by saying how dare he, Job, question almighty God. It’s a very unsatisfying answer, one that leaves the reader with a not-so-good view of God, if you’re reading it objectively and not inserting “Hallelujah” after every sentence.

The search for answers does not end with the Bible; it is only one of many places to start.

Answer #4

I dont really understand the question that well but I do want to say that God, in fact, can do anything He chooses. but thats the key, if He chose to. He could make everything right in the world, stop all death, anything. but God doesnt just use His power just to use it, everything last thing He’s made was created with a purpose. and yeah he could make everything right with the world, but the thing about God is that He’s given His people free will, He will not force His Self on anyone. So those who choose to not obey God, become instruments for the devil. the devil in himself has no power until he finds people he can use and work through. and not saying all bad things are caused people bc I understand natural disasters and stuff but God is in control of everything that happens, everything that goes down is ALLOWED. when you take control back of your own life through the power of Jesus Christ and rule with dominion and authority the way you’re supposed, the devil has no authority to mess with you whatsoever. so im kinda off point but I just wanted to say that God indeed is ABLE, and it is through the blood of Jesus that we are all enabled to walk in the abundant life that He died for us to have. jus wanted to add my 2 cents:)

Answer #5

Then why does Joan Biaz, Jim Morrison, Robert Palmer and many, many other rock stars claim to be inspired by muse’s (this is the latin word for spirit) if there is no God or Devil?

Answer #6

Explaining God to me is pretty easy, He is all powerful, all knowing, and he is God.

He does not answer to man.

Man answers to him.

He created man.

Gave him guidelines for life.

Turned over the planet to him.

for several thousand years, man has been in charge.

One day, Jesus is coming back to earth, to claim his own.

He will then destroy evil, and man will be reunited back with him.

As it was in the begining.

He left instructions.

We are in school.

His school.

To see how we will respond.

We are proving ourselves on a daily basis.

He intervenes, when we invite him.

He holds us responsible for our actions.

We will all answer to him, at the judgement.

The New Jerusalem will only be for believers.

Anyone and everyone is invited.

But, we can’t come on our terms.

We come on his.

Or we don’t come.

Ethmer, that sounds like a perfect explanation of what Christians would call “End time religion”. A combination of all the beliefts put together.New Age, Hindusim, Wicca, etc.

It flies in the face of the bible, and traditional Christianity, but, it is going to be very popular with the masses, before Christ returns.

There is already a Church of Humanity, one without God, without the bible, without Jesus, the cross, the resurrection, no blood sacrifice, no redemption of mankind. Soon the whole world will be flocking to its doors.

Simply man.

Mans way of doing things.

Man rules.

Down with the God of the bible.

He is old timey.

WE are now God.

Same thing that got Satan kicked out of heaven.

As for me and my house, we are going to serve the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob, the God of the Holy Bible. as long as he give us strength to keep on keeping on.

Answer #8

* “no one can explain why bad things happen to good people.”

…I can. It’s because there is no grand plan enforcing divine justice. Random events do not discriminate based on goodness or badness.

Answer #9

* “the answers are all in the Bible”

…do you really expect someone with basic questions like this to go spend the next 10 years studying the Bible to extract the ‘answers’ it has in regards to these questions?

Answer #10

Why are you people so afraid of the truth. If you don’t ever question what you have been taught, you will never find truth. You stop searching because you feel comfortable with the reality you’ve created for yourselves. But you are really living your lives in utter denial.

Answer #11

“No, jimahl, that’s not what I’m saying. no one can explain why bad things happen to good people.”

Actually we can explain quite a bit why tsunamis and hurricaines happen. The point is, if god could prevent, why doesn’t he?

“but what’s ‘bad’ to us, is not always ‘bad’ to God. everything happens for a reason, and all things work together for good. you just have to trust God with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. our mental capacities are so small compared to God’s infinite understanding. He knows what we don’t know and He sees what we cant see. so to try to understand everything that goes on in the world is absurd. it cant be done.”

So you are saying god didn’t think it was bad to let a couple of hundred thousand people die. You are also saying that god thinks we are incapable of understanding his purposes, so he will just leave us in the dark, and let the families of the victims live in constant pain over their losses. It is not absurd to try to understand the world around us. It is absurd to expect answer from the writings of people long dead, over the current knowledge we have obtained through science.

“also, all people have a time to go, whether you like that time or whether you think that time was the right time.”

Are you saying we have no ability to alter the time of people’s death? 200 years ago people died from diseases that today are easily cured. Why should we bother medical research if we all have our time? What difference does it make?

“God is the designer and creator of life, not you. He never promised that every last person would live to be 98, He just promises that one will not die before their purpose for being on this earth if fulfilled.”

When did I say I was the creator of life? But he could make us all live to be 98 if he wanted. Instead he allows many many people to die very painful deaths, sometimes at very young ages. He is truly a sick sadistic bastard then.

“p.s. NO they did not die bc of their bad choices. If God killed people based on that, we would all be dead. God doesnt kill people, period.”

Well I think allowing someone to die even though you could easily prevent it is the same as killing them. So yes, according to you god kills all the time.

Answer #12

So according to you, god chose not to do anything to save the lives of katrina or tsunami victims, even though he could have. Did they die because of their bad choices?

You god is an uncaring, vindictive SOB.

Answer #13

So you are afraid or stories you were told as a child?

I stopped believing in the boogeyman a long time ago.

There was no garden, there was no apple, there was no serpent.

There is no god or satan.

Answer #14

The incongruencies you bring up in the God myth are the perfect proof that he doesn’t exist. Either that, or he is one mean SOB to let all this suffering happen when he could do something about it.

Answer #15

No, jimahl, that’s not what I’m saying. no one can explain why bad things happen to good people. but what’s “bad” to us, is not always “bad” to God. everything happens for a reason, and all things work together for good. you just have to trust God with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. our mental capacities are so small compared to God’s infinite understanding. He knows what we don’t know and He sees what we cant see. so to try to understand everything that goes on in the world is absurd. it cant be done.

Answer #16

God is like Santa Clause, and the parents are “Chance” :)

Answer #17

jimahl -Satan tried to plant doubt, in the garden… It worked.

He is still doing it today, his tactics haven’t changed.

However, the ones that know the word, no longer fall for his deception.
