theory on how the Egyptians built and mastered the pyramids?

Does anyone have a theory on how the Egyptians built and mastered the accuracy of the pyramids? I know it has been pondered for century’s on how they built them without extremely advanced technology?

Answer #1

The idea that we don’t know how the ancient Egyptians built their monuments is a bit of a misnomer. Somewhere along the way, the original idea of “we don’t know which of these methods they used” got translated to “we don’t know how they did it without advanced technology,” and thus is born a lot of theories about visiting aliens and time travel.

More evidence of this phenomena can be found in “We only use 10-20% of our brains at any given moment” being translated to “humans only use 10-20% of their brains.”

The fact is that Egyptologists have many, many theories on how, for instance, the stone blocks were moved and raised into position, so many that they can scarcely agree on which one is correct. As for their “accuracy,” it took them many tries to get a passable pyramid erected. Look at the Step Pyramid of Djoser, which barely resembles an Egyptian pyramid as we know it, or Snofru’s Pyramid, which was so poorly constructed, the entire outer casing lies in an enormous pile of rubble at its base.

It took the Egyptians centuries to understand the mathematics and engineering involved in constructing true pyramids, but they had their own versions of Einstein and Newton to help them. It doesn’t take modern technology to do what they did, and when one looks at the entire history of the region as a whole instead of just marveling at the examples left at Giza, the entire process becomes much less mysterious.

Answer #2

they used a bunch of ropes tide to the blocks put the blocks on wood logs and used the logs to lower the friction on the block.

Answer #3

I believe that it is fairly simple, they used a lot of little blocks to structure the outer shell of the pyramid. Blocks that were massive, true, but still blocks that made lining them up fairly easy. I think that finding the stone for the pyramids was a huge feat considering their final destination, and then moving them from whatever distant location they came from. I would have to think that the desert floor at the time of their building was of a different consistency. I would also think that the ancient egyptians had some wicked engineering skills that they loved to show off to the world in their buildings.

Answer #4

They used very well organized slave labor to get the work done.
