Public pools and planter warts

Well my friend got a plantars wart on her foot and I was reading up on it on the internet and it says you can get it from wet surfaces..like publick pool areas and showers and stuff. So im kinda freakin out because I don’t want a wart on my foot!!! So is it bad to go swimmin at public pools?? And then I think about it..and imagine all the bodily fluids that are floaten around in that water…iiick!! Thats kinda gross. Ugh… So that just kills my desire to go swimming…

So is it bad to go swimmin in public pools?

I do not go swimming for those reasons. Swimming in boogers, pee, poop, snot, saliva.. all that crap. Even if they put cleaning liquid into the water, it doesn’t kill everything. My brother got warts from public areas like this. Swim at your own risk, it doesn’t mean it’s bad though. Maybe you should wear flipflops during public swims? Hope that helped. - VioletStar. <3

She most likely didn’t get it from the pool, but from the area around the pool. Wet surfaces where many people have walked are normally where these bacteriums are.

I would just recommend wearing flip flops at all times unless you are in the water. Especially in the ‘showering’ area. :)
