I was thinking about going to one and was wondering if they were real or not real?

Answer #1

There are a lot of frauds out there.

There are real ones out there, but if they're mainstream or well known, they more than likely are not & are just scams. Unfortunately there are people you abuse the occult religions & practice in that manner.

I’ld be happy to help you, but I’ld have to see you in person. I gave some tarot readings, scry in mirrors, & had dreams & visions about people & myself.

Frauds out there will more than likely ask you a lot of questions(without realizing you tell them answers), & will interpret your body language. Without realign you give them all the answers you need & they'll tell you things about yourself that you already know & will give you an educated guess of what will happen to you in the current situation that you asked, anyone can do that.
Unlike the frauds I don't ask questions about the person, I get straight to the point & tell them to ask the cards their question & translate it to them or see what I find in the mirrors. The dream thing is out of my control completely almost, If I do have a dream about some one I just let them know, if I know that person at that time. usually I'm uninformed about their situations. But if I just so happen to know I'll just let them know what I think. I don't charge either, I just do it with some of my friends or people in my school/job or if someone introduces me to a person & wants me to do their reading.
If there are advertisements of the person usually, or if it's those psychics phones lines or such, it's not going to be worth it.
An easy way to tell if the person if a fraud are not is this feeling you'll get, it's a type of pressure you feel when entering the room.

Waste of time and money.

Answer #3

yawn ncomello: You’re either deceiving people, or deceiving yourself. There’s nothing you do that can’t be explained by cold-reading, as James Randi has demonstrated over and over. Not that that will convince you.

Answer #4

I think it is a waste and money too, like amblessed said. There may be people who have premonitions, but those people don’t seek to have them, nor do they charge money for it.

Answer #5

its just as real aa big foot, the lochness monster- its real if you think its real, its fake if you think its fake- theres not enough proof either way

Answer #6

Psychic ability is totally fake. Most are frauds. Some, however, honestly believe their own ‘abilities.’ But whether they are misguided or frauds, it is a waste of your time and money.

(PS - there has been a $1 million offer by the James Randy Foundation for many years to anyone who could scientifically demonstrate psychic ability greater than chance alone. Lots of attempts, not a single success.)

Answer #7

It’s hard to say.

I do think some people have the ability to have premonitions, or feelings about certain things, while others are just really good at convincing people of things.

I went to a palm reader once and she pretty much laid out my whole life for me - so far, she’s been dead on, but I can’t help but wonder if it’s just her advice that forces me to think or behave in a manner that will cause these things to happen.

Answer #8
  • yawn* I don’t need to explain myself to you or anyone else…
Answer #9

No, psychics are not real. They - consciously or not - use a technique called ‘cold reading’, which gives extremely accurate seeming results, without having to actually know anything about you or have any ‘supernatural’ powers at all.

Answer #10

yes, there are some frads out there but if you can find a good one they may be able to help. But if one tells you your an alein then you might have a wack job

Answer #11

Some are, some aren’t. You would be better off with one that was not.

If Gods opinion matters, he tell us to not give ourselves up to occult power.

He does not want us to seek advice from this source.

He wants us to seek it thru him.

He has our best interest at heart…

He does not want to control our lives…

But, to teach us how to be led.. by his spirit.

Not another.

Heck I have been doing reading for over 20 years, I have helped many people with problems and even read my son in law on my daughters first date, and I held his keys in my hand and told him exactly what work he was doing, no I didn’t have any knowledge about him at all, only he had long hair…I also told him that as soon as he saw my daughter he knew she was the one and well they did get married..and have a little girl…I recently went to dinner with them last weekend and ended up reading 4 people at the place where we ate and they were delighted and excite and surprised that I knew so much about them—never been there or saw them before…

I only read for those I am drawn to…I believe in God and pray for people all the time…No this is not the devils work…I believn in God and the power of God…this is my way of helping people who need it…

Sure there are a lot of fakes, and scammers…I went to a card reader many years ago and she said she could pray for my marriage if I gave her 200 bucks well I can buy 200 dollar candles and say the prayer myself…I told her no. she said well I will take the 10 bucks you have in your purse–somehow she knew I only had 10 bucks in my wallet I I ask her if she would take my last dollar for the reading she said sure!! so I sure got out of there…I have heard a lot of bad stories in my life time about readings and psychics but there is good and bad in everything in life, I just try to help when I can…

Answer #13

I think that there are certainly some total frauds out there who guess things about a person’s life from the responses that the person gives. This is called cold reading but I also think that there is some truth due to personal experience for example . . . My grandad had died in January last year and in May I went to a Young Farmers rally and competed with flower arranging ( theres my street cred down the pan) I took my flowers home and on the way back I asked my mum if I could put some the flowers on his grave, and his graves in a really quiet place in a tiny villiage called Aislaby so no one but my mum and me was there. My dad had been to see a psychic that day and about 15 minutes after I put the flowers on hisgrave I got a call from my dad to say that Grandad liked the flowers that I’d just put on his grave and said well done for getting a prize at the Young farmers rally. Theres no way that my dad or this psychic could have known and my mum wouldn’t have told my dad because they don’t speak. So ever time I have a bit of doubt I always think of that, this is just my own opinion but I think that people who whole heartedly disagree are very naive.
