Pros And Cons To Smoking

I’ve Been Smoking For 2 Years Now..I Dont Really Plan On Quitting But What Are The Pro’s And Con’s??

Answer #1

I suppose if you enjoy it, carry on, but try and uphold a healthy diet if you choose to enjoy something that is (and even being a smoker myself I can’t deny it) unhealthy! Try and eat an apple every day or something, I don’t really know what you eat so I might aswell shutup, but try and balance it out, that’s all I’m saying.

Answer #2

It can be a pleasurable taste to certain people and not EVERYONE hates the smell! I mean god, how come everyone could smoke in the 20s, 30s …80s & 90s and mid 00s if nobody liked it? But at the end of the day, it’s a risk but if you are willing to take it then fair play! I am.

Answer #3

in the end of the day they are no pros!

the pros for stopping as well as the money will save is the bigest pro in all, why dont you add up how much you would save in a year if you stopped. then think of what you would do with the masive amount of money you piled up.

Answer #4

it is really bad for your health. there aren’t really any pros I would consider quitting because it’s like throwing your life away it has no positive side affects!!!

Answer #5

There is a lot of ignorance in the world against smokers and smoking.

There are pros, more than a non-smoker would understand. The ritual of smoking is enjoyable, it gives you a chance to escape and relax from the world. Bonding with other smokers is easy and fun, I personally have met countless people simply by asking for a lighter, some of my best friends included.

There are also medical pros. That’s right, smoking cigarettes actually can help your body in certain aspects. It has been known to dramatically offset Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s syndromes as well as reduce the risk of breast cancer, HPV, and improve your memory.

As for the cons, there is no denying the health risks. Many forms of cancers are associated with cigarettes. Simply run a google search on cigarette health risks and I’m sure you will find the answer you need.

Answer #6

The only pro to it is that smokers enjoy smoking.

Cigarettes are expensive, smokers spend many $thousands over the years on cigarettes.

Cigarettes also make you sickly. Smokers miss twice as many days of work as non-smokers.

If you smoke cigarettes you will likely die years earlier than you would otherwise.

If you don’t mind being poor, sickly, and dead by all means keep smoking.

I started smoking at 12 and quit at 14 when I went out for high school track. Luckily I didn’t smoke enough to become addicted so it was easy for me to give up. Some smokers who were also heroin addicts have said it was harder for them to give up tobacco than heroin.

You are at a turning point now. If you quit now before you are seriously addicted to tobacco you can go on the rest of your life as if you never smoked. If you keep up you will become addicted and quiting later will be a lot harder.
