How can I preserve my hip tattoos when i decide i'm ready for children?

I have my hips done and i’m wondering what is the best way to increase my chances of avoiding distortion. I dont get stretch marks so that will work in my benefit. I know some distortion is inevitable but i’m just wondering what will help keep it to a minimum.

Well, let me just say, the tattoos I have on my abdomen are nothing but unidentifiable blotches now. When the skin stretches, there’s not much you can do to stop it. I’ve tried every remedy in the book to prevent it from happening, but nature wins out. All I can say is, I hope you don’t get too big, because a largely protruding belly will almost certainly distort your tattoos.

Answer #2

I agree with Colleen, there really isn’t much you can do about that. Sorry…

Answer #3

Not being rude or anything, but how do you not get stretch marks? I thought EVERYONE got stretch marks, if their skin was stretched from weight gain or something…

Answer #4

My sister and I both dont get stretch marks I have absolutely no idea how. I eat very healthy, drink lots of water, and take vitamins daily. Possibly that has to do with it.

Answer #5

Hmm, but are you sure that you won’t get a single stretch mark when your stomach gets huge from pregnancy? I mean if someone stays skinny all their life, I can see why they wouldn’t have stretch marks, but I just don’t see how someone is completely unable to get stretch marks…

Answer #6

If i do have any there skin colored haha.

Answer #7

I didn’t say I wasn’t going to get stretch marks from pregnancy, I expect to i’m just saying i’m less prone to stretch marks then most, so that will benefit me in pregnancy.

Answer #8

I’m not bragging in the slightest so theres no reason to be rude or call me out or whatever. Dont try to portray me as a liar.

Answer #9

It all depends on where you carry the baby really. The lower your stomach sits and the lower you carry the more distorted they are going to get. If you happen to carry high your hip tattoos may get a little damage but they could be repairable afterwards. As for the stretchmark debate, its very possible to not get a single stretchmark, i was huge at the end of my pregnancy, and my stomach did not get a single stretchmark on it, i cant say the same for my thighs however.

Answer #10

Oh I wasn’t, sorry…I logged off, never got your reply so I didn’t reply. I know you weren’t bragging, and I wasn’t trying to call you out or anything. I just didn’t know that someone couldn’t get stretch marks…

Answer #11

I know a lot of people that don’t get stretch marks. I’ve been lucky enough not to gain any (I used to weigh 40 pounds more than I do now) but never got stretch marks.
