Poor concentration maybe?

Ok so I have heaps of schoolwork to do just piliing up I havent been to school for a long time because of medical reasons And school keep sending me work but I just cant do it I dont know what it is Whethers its poor concentration or like everytime I think of doing it I just think “wats the point I’ve missed too much to get an a” so I dont bother Then when I get motivated ill start doing it and realise I have no idea what im supposed to be doing

I have a home tutor on hand for any help I need And when he explains it seems so easy and then I think like “y didnt I just do it because I could have done it, its not hard at all”

And then he’ll leave again and tell me to try do some work and then my concentration is gone again and my confusion about the work sets in again.

Its like I really cant be bothered putting in the effort to do the skoolwork yet I still really really want to get a’s and/or a *’s in everything

I just feel like the illness I had has messed everything up in every way Anyways can anyone help Like on how to be more motivated and determined when doin the work? Or like what will help with concentration? Because I really want to do something with my life you know just finding it hard actually putting in the effort. Just anything please? :(

Sry it was long btw lol

Want to try something DIFFERENT ??? just do the following RIGHT NOW ;

1–chant ‘hari om’(hari as in HURRY & om as in HOME without the ‘H’) do this repetedly & a point will come where you will feel like you just want to close your eyes ( in that case case do it).At this point increase the number of O in om like HARI OOOM & then —HARI OOOM— & so on.when you chant this VEDIC MANTRA then remain silent (no thinking!,fidgeting, moving, etc) for an amount of time taken to chant this one mantra.this looks very very simple but its effects are very very very large (even ALBERT EINSTEIN would not had imagine it !!!). this is called ‘CHUP SADHANA’ & I learned it from ‘param pujya ASARAMJI bapu’.—>”www.asharam.org “

also read folowing http://hariombooks.googlepages.com/english_book_TheSecretOfEternalYouth.htm http://hariombooks.googlepages.com/Elixir_of_life.htm it will help remove all weakness from you, believe me millions have obtained benefits from it ,literally.

note: women durimg their periods are not to chant OM but they can chant HARI

this I say to you on basis of teachings of ‘param pujya ASARAMJI bapu’

Yes, I think your environment is important too. Different people are motivated by different environments. I used to work well if I had music playing, but it had to be music without words - that distracted me. Some people can’t stand having music at all and some aren’t even distracted by the words! TV is a real disaster, as are people doing something else around you!

I work quite well out of doors, or on my bed. I don’t like working at a desk, but loads of people do. So I suggest you find out what encourages you to focus and achieve the goals that mtscobainx3 mentions.

You may find that working in different styles and colours helps too. Mind Mapping is a good way to clarify your thoughts about a piece of work, or revision, and lets you draw and colour in order to get the facts clear in your mind.

Motivation also comes from success. Achieving your goals will help. Asking your tutor for short-term goals, which you can check yourself against, will let you see if you are making progress. Once you do make some progress, it’s easier to keep on going.

Best of luck.

Their may be a few causes for your poor concentration. Of course your enviroment is proably the main cause but you might have trouble just concentrating ask your doctor about trying a low dose of addarol or vyvanse just to help you after school. My friend had the same problem.

Myself included I have severe add. and can't even function without my medication.

I take a 100 mg does of addarol. which would proably make you into crack head speed junkie. try 10-15 mg. of non-RX (not time released)

Hope I helped.

Next time your tutor is at your house, try to get as much work one as possible, and ask him to stay until your finished with it.Set goals;;a specific amount of papers to o each day. Also, when your sitting down to do work, mak sure there are no distractions-shut off the tv,the radio,an anything else that would catch your attention.Make sure its a quiet, comfortable environment for you.
