Police officers
This is kinda random but.. When police officers shot someone, do they shot them just to get them down, or to kill them? I saw something on the news about the police shotting a guy, so that’s why I asked(:
it depends on the situation.
them or you. what would you do? the bad guy always has the first choice.
I doubt that cops rarely have time to think about that in a situation. Normally when they fire at someone it is because they are about to fire at them. I am sure that the goal is to defuse the situation but when someone has a gun pointed at you, your reaction is to shoot.
Shootouts are not like the movies. Someone does not stop shooting just because they get shot; in fact due to adrenaline people don’t always even realize they are hit.
Police officers using pistols in the heat of a gunfight have hard enough a time even hitting someone more than a few yards away let alone trying to “wing” them. Police shoot to kill and keep shooting until their opponent can’t return fire.
