Local office anyone?

How can I get a booming start in local office and politics? Become an influential person in my community? I’m am very new to the politic scene but am very pulled to it. I need to get involved more.

My suggestion would be to start getting involved in community activities. After a while you could run for your local school board, community council or assembly. As time passes and you become more savvy, you will decide whether you want to get into state politics and maybe eventually national politics.

You should also contact your party’s local office (you don’t say if you are rep or dem). Get involved in the process. Like anything, you really just can’t jump in at the top, you need to work you way up. Start by volunteering for a candidate you like. I have done it a few times, and it has actually been quite fun.
