does anyone see a point in getting drunk before a high school football game?

Depends on if the person is needed on the field on the day, then obviously “NO” …..If a person is only a spectator, I say “hell yeah”, why not get yourself smashed beforehand, cheaper to drink elsewhere before you enter the venue as they mark up their alcoholic prices. This mind set is the same when a person heads out clubbing.

i think its stupid i see no point in drinking the way it is but getting drunk at 7 at night is stupid. but the kids who got caught were caught by the cops and not like a parent or something so its guna be on their record but just stupidity at its finest

Yes, but let’s be realistic now, high school kids do drink as much as people like to think otherwise. If their parents cannot control their own kids, why should strangers get on their high school and wave their “righteous and moral” flags.

well yeah i went thru high school had fun without drinking. but i understand ppl drink at any age. but one at 7 at night being drunk its nothing special and two beginning at a HS football drunk its ridiculous you know what i mean. like cant they just wait til the game is over to drink haha just my opinion on the matter

I agree. As much as I dont think high schoolers should be drinking or doing dr.ugs, it isnt realistic to expect them not to. I didnt. But I was part of a tiny minority.

Oh and tailgating is a time honored tradition. It may not make sense to you (or to me for that matter), but then drinking games dont make much sense to me either. It is what it is.

A person is at a game, caught up in the atmosphere, they are properly hanging out to get to the game, and you want them to wait til the game is over before they get smashed. :-P Don’t know about you, but I much rather have a few drinks, head to the game, if my team gets flogged, I have already celebrated so I’m still on a high…..If my team wins, even better, more celebrating afterwards and drinks. :-)

No there really isn’t. They do it either because they actually like to get drunk or it’s because they can. The same reason people get smashed on their 21st birthday. They do it because they can. I personally think it’s stupid and childish. I mean I’ve drank but I use it as a way to get away from my mind for a lil while. I know that’s childish too but it’s a better reason than they have.
