Why did he start acting like such a jerk?

From a lads point of view here a cant understand his actions, maybe he does have feelings but is afraid incase he isn’t good enough for you therefore trying to get you out the way of him to make him feel better, I dont know. But as in previous comments you will find the right lad, I hope so :)

Sweetie, at the end of the day - If you’re taken, guys are gonna be jerks. If you’re single, guys are still going to be jerks. It’s there nature. It may break our heart but, we have to live with it.

Not all guys are jerks btw. You just gotta find the one who isn’t a jerk. I know it sounds hard but talk to a guy first and don’t make it obvious but ALS random questions about how he would treat a girlfriend. Might find some guys aren’t actually jerks like a lt of girls say. What they should be saying is that all the guys they dated were jerks. I only know this for a fact because I’m one of those guys.

I agree, morganx that is a gross generalization. NOT all guys are jerks, I will admit the vast majority seem to be, but not all guys. You just need to find the right guy.

Because that is how immature boys are. They put on a face when they are dating you, then when they dont want you anymore they treat you like dirt! Dont let him get the best of you. Tell yourself your better then that, and get on with your life. Act like he doesnt matter, and smile whenever he is around.
