Do you need a clamp to pierce yourself at home?

Do you need a clamp to pierce yourself at home? I’m going to be ordering piercing needles and was wondering whether it would be necessary. And has anyone been successful with piercing your bellybutton at home using a piercing needle?

Don’t feel attacked - we’re only trying to help you so you don’t do something stupid that you’ll regret. We come on strong so we get the message through.

Answer #2

You DON’T pierce ANYTHING yourself. Only a true moron would even THINK about doing ANY piercing by their self. Piercings are meant to be done PROFESSIONALLY… no matter what. If you pierce it yourself, chances are you’ll end up with infections, it won’t heal up correctly, and you probably won’t even pierce it right to begin with. Don’t listen to ANYONE giving you tips on how to do this yourself. Seriously, they’re full of sh*t. They’re NOT professionals and they DON’T know what they’re doing. Neither do you for that matter. If they would claim to be a professional piercer, ignore them because they’re lying. If they were truly a professional, they’d be saying DON’T EVER do ANY piercing yourself. ALWAYS get your piercings done by a PROFESSIONAL like myself.

Listen to my advice, I know what I’m talking about. You WILL regret doing it yourself and you’ll be wishing like hell you would have gotten it done professional. It’ll be well worth the price and you won’t be sorry, I promise. By getting it done professionally, you will KNOW it’s done right and you will have a VERY LOW risk of infection if you care for it properly that is. So seriously, DON’T DO IT YOURSELF. Get it done by a PROFESSIONAL.

Answer #3

you should NEVERE be an IDIOT and pierce it yourself there are many things that could go wrong also if you cant be bothered to get a hole in your flesh professionally pierced you shouldn’t be getting one AT ALL a piercing is a wound and there’s a lot more to piercing than just stabbing yourself with a needle

Answer #4

Just because you buy piercing needles does not make you a professional. There are professional piercers for a reason. You can end up with a crooked piercing, a bad infection, and ect. Go to a professional.

Answer #5

you need a dermal punch… which is a small circular razor blade used to punch skin out and pierce something.

go to a piercing parlor and get it done… if you use a regular needle, it WILL NOT COME OUT RIGHT. I can promise you this.

if you pierce it too shallow it will migrate or reject out… if you pierce it too deep, it can rip/tear because lack of space… OR, you can possibly injure yourself.

jsut go pay the 60$ and get it pierced professionally… its not worth an big ugly scar.

…unless your underage and your parents wont sign for you. then your just being very foolish.

Answer #6

I get the message, and I’m feeling quite attacked at the moment.

Answer #7

Self-piercing is one of the dangerous and stupid ideas imaginable.

Never attempt to pierce yourself - even with the help of kits intended for this purpose currently sold on the Internet. And don’t allow an untrained friend to do it either. Do-it-yourself piercing is far from sterile, and if you accidentally pierce the wrong place, you could cause severe bleeding or permanent nerve damage

Answer #8

I’ve given up on the idea anyway, so not to worry :)

Answer #9

Clamps make it more accurate. I never ever got an infection and I have a monroe and lip piercing. not to mention my nipples too.

I did it at home. you just gotta make sure its all Sterilized and properly clean it EVERYDAY!

Answer #10

Okay so I pierced myself many times by myself and never ever got infected. You need to take proper care of it and make sure its nice and clean! Clamps make everything better because it makes it more accurate so get the clamps FOR SURE
