Why do the photos on the EOS 5D Mark III 22.3-Megapixel Digital SLR Camera take up so much space?

15mb for 1 photo Is to large.

Actually my EOS 5D Mark II can sometimes take up to 30MB for each photo.

And that’s what I want too because anything less means I can’t crop the photo and still get a great sized image.

Welcome to the world of professional photography! You need to have Terabyte hard drives, Pro access on Flickr and Dropbox, and very very fast internet connections to service your customers!!!

Also I don’t trust drop box or other file sharing sites.

People who are good can go Into the sites and take everything from them.

Best to have your own server and private storage.

Nap, dropbox is indispensable for pro-photographers.

You’re young now. But once you start concentrating on one thing, you will not have time for servers, offsite backup, setting up and troubleshooting things.

You just want to focus on photography.

I’m a super-nerd. I don’t want to mess with servers. I want to mess with getting the next model’s ass in just the right lighting :-)
