Answer #2

I don’t know if it’ll really work after its been completely submerged it water… But, you can try taking it apart and putting it in a bag of rice over-night and see if it workd after that. Hope this helps! - Katie :)

Answer #3

put your phone is a bowl of dry rice over night =)

Answer #4

I have dropped mine in a toilet too…. I just took the battery out out a hairdryer to it, make sure its on the COOL setting!!!!! cause the warm setting will ruin it more and make it steamy inside your screen. let it sit overnight to air out.

Answer #5

that really works? I wish I could of done that to my phone

Answer #6

The most important first step is to remove the battery as quickly as possible. You see the water can cause a short that can fry sensitive chips in your phone. After that disassemble your phone as much as practical to dry out (iPhones don’t really come apart but other phones do).If you are on good terms with your school science teacher you can ask them to dry it out in the vacuum pump. You see, at low atmospheric pressure the water quickly evaporates. If you don’t have access to a vacuum pump you should use a desiccant to draw the moisture out of the phone. Rice is a natural desiccant that most people have access to but there are better ones out there. Last year I jumped into my pool with my phone still in my pocket. The rice trick worked for me but it took 3 days to dry it out enough to work.
