what is your opinion about PETA?

Answer #1

I am an animal right’s activist and while I don’t agree with all PETA statements, I know that they alone have done more for animal welfare than any other group. I support ALL…ASPCA,PETA,HSUS and Best Friends…but when it comes to getting the public’s attention to cruelty against animals, ALL animals, then PETA is the top.

Answer #2

PETA places animals above people, and attempts to impose their own ideology on everyone else. They play on the emotions of people, and when that fails, they fall back on name calling, attempts at humiliating, and other cheap displays. PETA, IMHO, is of less value than the fleas on a dogs butt… Just my opinion!

Answer #3

PETA’s true agenda is to help animals… just like a breeder’s true agenda is to keep cranking out litters, no matter how overpopulated we are with animals…

Answer #4

People (who) Eat Tasty Animals

I cannot stand PETA. humans have dominion over animals, and while animals should be respected and taken care of, they should not be put above humans. it seems like PETA tries to accomplish that.

Answer #5

I love animals but im not a veggie some of the stuff they say I dont agree on but some stuff does ring true at the same time im a supporter of the RSPCA hopefully one day ill work with them as I wont stand by seeing people treating animals cruely xx

Answer #6

Same here. I’m a member of the ASPCA, and the local and nationwide Humane Society. When I was invited to join PETA, I through the stuff away. I feel they are no better at times than the people who protest abortion clinics. They go way to far extremes, just as lvbobdylan said,.

Answer #7

Peta is certainly over-the-top but wild actions get headlines so they strive for controversy. It is their shtick. Peta has done a lot of good for animal welfare. Their undercover work exposing abuses of livestock have shut down some pretty barbaric operations. Their pressure on fast food chains have made them much more demanding of the way their suppliers treat animals.

I’m an atheist and several times over the years I’ve been embarrassed by the actions of American Atheists but I have to admit that they have done a lot of things I agree with as well. There is room for a range of opinions and approaches in every movement.

Answer #8

PETA’s true agenda is that there will be no pets…period…horses to dogs and cats…No one will eat meat, and ALL animals will live by the survival of the fittest mode (course it took millions of years to get them domesticated…it might take a while to turn them back)…and now their tenticles are solid in HSUS…

They’ve been caught in enough lies, that I don’t believe one word out of them…the little “do-bee’s” at the bottom of the pyramid may believe they are doing something good…but the agenda at the origin (and top) is entirely different…

Answer #9

I think there’s nothing wrong with being a vegetarian or vegan and they have a good point to make. However, I think that they go a little far sometimes..like, trying to get us to call fish sea kittens? I mean really. there’s absolutley no way you can stop the entire world from eating meat just because you change the name of a product, or throw paint on someone wearing a fur coat..I just think they’re a bit extreme sometimes.

Answer #10

I agree with the both of them.PETA does get carried away.

Answer #11
