Opinions On Euthanasia ?

I support voluntary euthanasia (assisted suicide), but not involuntary euthanasia, which is murder as far as I’m concerned.

There is a gray area involving those who can not make their wishes known, for example babies born with horrific terminal conditions, or people in coma’s on life support with no hope of ever recovering. In cases where the law allows us to remove support so that people can die naturally, I guess I don’t see why euthanasia in those cases should be prohibited. We wouldn’t let a dog suffer like that, so why our own family members?

There’s a book called “Drowning Girls in China” by D.E. Mungello. It’s an informative book about the long-held practice of euthanasia/infanticide in China, mostly practiced against female babies. Although it was a practice that was made famous by the chinese, it was also widely practiced in every other culture in history, it just wasn’t as widely acknowledged in such other places. Nonetheless, it’s a very fascinating book and has given me great insight to the causes and effects of this devastating practice.

I think anyone with a serious NON curable disease should be allowed the option, but said person should put it in writing in front of professional witnesses

our lives are our own, if we choose not to live anymore then thats fine. anyone who obstructs your right to choose for yourself or stops you is contradicting your rights as a HUMAN BEING.

I think it is their choice but if it became legal murderers will say oh they asked me to help them die!
