why do people do stupid stuff to be cool?

sometimes they talk to a few friends & discuss the issue…another friend will dare them to do that particular thing…if they dont do it no matter how stupid it is, they considered a looser! Now I dont about you or how it is where you are at…but in my time, if you were dared to do it & didnt there went your entire reputation! Everything you built, worked for to get your reputation to where it is at is definitely not worth the hassle of being called a looser especially if you are in the popular crowd! I am not saying it is right, thank god me personally, I was never put in that position…but others may have! That is why they call it the teenage years, you get to be stupid & have lots of silly memories to look back on! So, that just might be the cause to doing something stupid…but with good cause to back that up… just another angle to focus on as well! :)

Well, like mostly everyone would think, “If I __ , then I’ll get noticed and be known by allot.” or just to supposedly show off that they can take up any DARE. Then when they went through it, dont succeed and get laughed at they push themselves harder not to only do that but a bit more. But after me learning that, I saw who were my true friends. So I told myself “I dont have to do anything to make myself look good for anyone. If they like it then good, if they don’t then too bad for THEM” Im not here to satisfy anyone

30 years ago I was a minority in the neighborhood I grew up in. I did really stupid stuff in order to win praise and respect from my friends. It ended up getting me in a lot of trouble, but I was popular, and cool. At least in the eyes of my friends. At that age, and in my mind, it was all that mattered.
