Did you know that people are putting microchips under their dog's skin?

I didnt know about that, why the animal protection society doesnt say or do anything about that, then we the humans will be forced to used that chip too, like the bible said thats the sign of the beast, by the way im very pissed that they microchip dogs. What do you think? tell me please thank you.

Answer #1

Well they microchip them so if they’re lost and go to a pound or something then they will scan it the pet can be brought back right? I mean I think that’s okay. My dog has one and he never seems to mind. But ones for humans doesn’t sound right. Seems like a loss of freedom to me.

Answer #2

Microchipping and tattooing animals is a way of finding them if they go missing. It doesn’t hurt the animals too bad and it is no where near as painful as chopping their balls off.

Answer #3

Both of my dogs are chipped. The advantage of the chip over a dog tag is that the chip is permanent. If you have a cell phone it is already very easy to track you. Privacy is a quaint idea from a simpler time.

Answer #4

Yes it’s very common. If there werent microchips, lost animals would be in much more danger than getting a microchip in the first place.

Answer #5

Microchipping dogs i animals i can see that as ok, but humans no…i dont think thats right. Especially if its madatory

Answer #6

It’s just a big shot, it doesn’t hurt them or anything after the initial shot. We chipped my dog when she was a puppy because she’s a pitt & our last one was stolen for fighting. We didn’t know where he was until years later, but by then it was too late. I think it’s a GREAT thing to do just in case they get lost/stolen or picked up by animal control when your not around. Microchipping humans has some positives. For instance it would be good in missing person cases & finding wanted criminals. But microchipping human is invasion of privacy… the government knowing where your at and when your there at all times. It’s against the constitution, so it wouldn’t ever really happen in America.

Answer #7

well i’ve known about tagging dogs with microchips since it first began… advantages of microchips :

  1. no need for a passport
  2. if dog is lost or in some cases stolen they can be easily found before they get hurt
  3. vaccines can be registered on the chip

it doesn’t hurt them and it isn’t anything evil….

Answer #8

Considering the law was brought in here because better control over dogs was needed, as highlighted by people being attacked by dogs, then I have no problem with it. In terms of pain for the animal, it hardly compares to something like de-sexing which is standard.

Answer #9

my dog has one? whats the big deal?? if she gets lost they could return her to us. I think they give it to all dogs from the pound

Answer #10

When I purchased our dog, he was microchipped–it’s the law in our state.

Answer #11

They also put microchips in cats :)

Answer #12

i also had a dog where she had a little tattoo in her ear so the owner could tell which one she was out of the litter(the owner bread dogs, and we bought her from the breeder) my point is there only there so we know who the dog belongs to or in the breeders case just to know what dog is what.
