Why do people keep hating when teenagerss get pregnet?

Answer #1

Your kidding me right? Because kids shouldnt have kids, period. Its selfish, irresponsible, stupid, and idiotic for a teen to try and have a child that they can not financially or emotionally support. Its unfair to the child, who is the one who ends up suffering when mommy couldnt grow up fast enough and be a parent, or when mommy baby daddy didnt stick around and didnt want the child, etc.

Answer #2

exactly they really should wait!

Answer #3

Because most teens can’t afford a baby. They are so young, they really aren’t ready to care for a baby.

Answer #4

Sorry i didnt mean teenagers i mean like 20 to 25 yearr olds

Answer #5

Yeah but we arent to jusdge them

Answer #6

ohh

Answer #7

thats not judging! thats the facts!

Answer #8

Regan: Okay, but what teen has thousands of dollars just for a baby? Really.

Answer #9

haha IKR EMILY!

Answer #10

Who are they hating? The teenager or the idea of what the teenager has done. I’m sure nobody really hates a pregnant teenager, even though they may not be happy with the situation,They are just concerned about their well being, and their future!

Answer #11

Umm if the baby daddys workin than they can afford it my sister was 16 when she got pregnet an she managed to suppourt it

Answer #12

Diana: Exactly! lol.

Answer #13

yeahh

Answer #14

ok well she might be one of the few, many of them there daddys leave and the moms are left to do nothing trying to manage and dragging there family into it, ITS WRONG!

Answer #15

While i will not judge a teenage mother whose birth control failed, condom ripped, or safe sex didnt work for them. I feel i have every right to judge a teen who tried to have the child, didnt use any form of protection, and wanted to get pregnant. As a mother it makes me sick.

Answer #16

Well both things i guesss! But they can be concerned all they want but in my oppion theey shouldnt be sayin nehgative things bout the teeenagers specailly when theey dont kno them there sayin like ohh shes a s!ut cause shhes pregnet

Answer #17

wow you make it sound like its a bad idea to have kids

Answer #18

Well yes i can understand that perfectly but i dnt get why they can get away with sayin such negative facts about them thats so cruel an specially if they do not kno the person some randow pregnet teenager can be walkin doewn a street an they start cursin that sickens me

Answer #19

Its not wrong its there life they have the right to do what they want if they wanna be a teen mom than they can But if you start sayin thinfs but them cause there pregnet, thats completly stupid jsut imagine what they say about you ( im not refferin this to or about you)

Answer #20

ywah

Answer #21

Regan: It’s their life, but they shouldn’t bring a CHILD into this world that they can’t afford. It’s completely wrong and selfish.

Answer #22

How is it selfish? If they caant afford it than thqats there problem of course its no one elses to quit freekin hatin on them

Answer #23

Basically I agree with everything Mandyloo said. But honestly I don’t judge a pregnant teen when I see one. There’s a chick who’s pregnant in one of my classes in school right now. I don’t judge her one bit. Nobody does it seems. I don’t know her situation. But I do think it’s completely messed up when a teen gets pregnant on purpose. Many times on this site I’ll see something like, “Oh I’m 13, 14, 16, etc and want a baby. Me and my boyfriend love eachother and are ready for one. We’re gonna be good parents.” Blah blah blah. That really gets me. Then I’m just like really? Are some teens that stupid?

Answer #24

W3LL i KHAN SPEAK ON DHAT SiTUATiON…SHyT HAPPENS N yHU J3S HAV TO LEARN FOR YO MiSTAKES iT DONT MAKE yhU SELFiSH OR WUTEVER ELSE….SHyT yyHU JES MADE A MiSTAKE N JES SUM yHU GON HAV TO GET OVER……BUT AS FAR AS HATiN GOES THEy JES NEED TO SHUT THEIR MOUTHS :=) iitS NOT THEM SO WHy B CONCERNED BOUT THE NEXT iNDiViUAL LiVE yHUR LiFE :=) HOPE DHAT HELPED

Answer #25

If they can’t afford it, the baby will suffer because of the mother’s ignorance.

Answer #26

Please speak English, no one knows what you’re saying.

Answer #27

SO whta? again thats THEIR fault NOT yours you have no right to judge them

Answer #28

What 16 year olds have good paying, steady jobs? McDonald’s just won’t cut it.

Answer #29

What? :l

Answer #30

It might be THEIR fault, but the baby shouldn’t have to suffer.

Answer #31

who said it has to be a 16 year old im tlkin older than that

Answer #32

i was going to comment on that but i thought id be mean my comment i wanted “Mind going to grammer school, please and thank you”

Answer #33

Well i understood her, It bascailly says shut up cause its not you pregnet so you shouldnt be concerned

Answer #34

Well some think there ready but thats there choice people can hate all they want think that that persons selfish an all that If they want a kid than whatever its not for us to decide what they should do

Answer #35

You know what i find funny - every single person who is defending teenagers getting pregnant cant even spell the word “pregnant”.

Answer #36

AGREED!

Answer #37

Your right, nobody has the right to call anyone names,Teenage girls make mistakes just like anyone else.Nobody’s perfect.Girls are so vulnerable at that age.And boys know just what to say.Teenagers are just not mature enough to handle the situation without some support ,and they need positive support not negative. I’m sure they already feel bad enough about what they have done without the name calling.

Answer #38

I am referring to, “Umm if the baby daddys workin than they can afford it my sister was 16 when she got pregnet an she managed to suppourt it”…

Answer #39

I agree with cally56. :)

Answer #40

So whhat that doesnt mean anythin if you kno how to spell somethin or not

Answer #41

agreed

Answer #42

If you’re old enough to have a child, you should be old enough to have correct grammar.

Answer #43

People judge others all the time on stereotype they’ve heard. Nothing wrong with that since it’s nature as long as they keep it with themselves.

Most cases I heard about teen having a baby appear to be negative. Teenager parents in these story were not ready and regret about having a baby. Do you expect me to be positive with this issue?

Answer #44

It’s still them being stupid. No teen is ready for a baby. Those teens who do try for a baby are extremely selfish

Answer #45

No i expect you not to judge cause your not the one prego, People need to grow up an shut there mouths

Answer #46

Thats why my sister gave it up some to some person girls just neen to quit judgin its complety stupid

Answer #47

There not selfish!!!!! You cant say no teen isnt ready for a baby

Answer #48

Wait 2 things…1 how old? Like 13-16 or 17-19?? 2 r they trying to have a baby or does it just happen by accident? Cause fr 1: teens(especially under 18) probably don’t have the money to properly support the baby. 2: if they’re trying to het pregnant then they’re just retarded but if the condom breaks or sumthin like that then there isn’t too much you can do…well besides not have sex but…cmon were teens

Answer #49

All this arguing is pointless. Whenever you are an adult and a mother, come back and talk to me. Teens always think the know everything. When you have raised a child, paid hospital and medical bills, clothed, fed, and cared for a child solely on your own - youll understand and youll change your opinion. Im not going to argue with a child about this, when you have no clue what your talking about.

Answer #50

Spellin has nothing to do with havin a baby you guys are completly judgementle

Answer #51

YOu may think it dont kno anythin wehn im friends with girls that are havin a baby ann there doin pretty good fore bein young

Answer #52

I’m not asking anyone to be positive about it .All I’m saying is the girl needs emotional support to help them deal with the situation. Its going to be a hard enough road to travel without people constantly telling them what a bad person they are for letting it happen.

Answer #53

Well atleast be nice an carin show respect foe them theres no reason what so ever to be negative

Answer #54

Uh yeah they are if they actually wanted a baby and got pregnant on purpose. They should at least wait a few years. Don’t try to deny the truth. It is selfish. Waiting doesn’t hurt anyone.

Answer #55

they dnt have to wait they say if teens dnt have sex an dont have babys iit makes the world a better place an all that styouid stuff an im gnna deny with that cause i kno so much girls that are pregnet an they are doin so welll for being young an have babys

Answer #56

I cant figure out whether this is funny or sad. And it is spelt ‘judgmental’. Bottom line is, statistically kids of teen mothers do not do as well as other kids. Whether spelling is a factor or not, maturity appears to have a significant impact. Being judgmental has to do with discrimination based on assumption. Looking at statistics that show that children born to teenage mothers dont do as well, and judging on that basis, doesnt make it judgmental. It makes it common sense.

Answer #57

BUt whatever its there lifes everyone needs to be quiet if its all negative stuff the kids may come out not as well

Answer #58

Yes. There is. If there wasnt an innocent child involved, then by all means, I am sympathetic to whatever. But when a stupid decision results in an innocent child being brought into this world to live with an immature and stupid teen, I think we have a right to be negative. I think we have a right to be more than negative. I work with parents who have lost their kids to abuse or neglect. Wonder of wonders, most of them had kids as teenagers. I reserve the right to hold a negative view of these people. It is also really difficult to take you seriously when you have no idea what spell check is.

Answer #59

Like I said I’m only talking about the teens who had actually planned to get pregnant. If it was an unplanned pregnancy then I’m not as judgemental especially if they at least cared to use protection

Answer #60

You are literally giving me a headache with your poor grammar. ‘It’s their life, everyone needs to be quiet, if it’s all negative stuff the kid may come out not as well.’ Why is it so difficult for you to write properly? And uhm as soon as you can prove that telling teens they are highly idiotic and selfish for deciding to become mothers as teenagers is harmful towards their babies, then you can speak. Until then, go learn how to write, and come back with a valid argument.

Answer #61

You just said pretty good for being young. You pretty much just supported everyones argument against teen pregnancy with that one statement. By stating “for being pretty young” you implied that being a teenage parent is not the ideal situation, and would in fact be easier if they were older and able to hold down a steady career.

Answer #62

whatever i dnt care if i spell wrong this is over the computer so i could really care less i have better things to do than just speel things right thats for school :)

Answer #63

lol

Answer #64

well you know some people are raped and it sucks like sh!t

Answer #65

agreed

Answer #66

i mean like i should know cause i was and i have a daughter

Answer #67

No. That’s for life. School teaches you to do stuff for life. The point of school is to prepare you for the real world. Not to have you pass exams. And obviously you dont care. But I dont understand how you have managed to live 14 years without knowing how to spell the word spell.

Answer #68

people get raped girl

Answer #69

What she said. Also, a baby deserves better than ‘pretty good fore being young’. They deserve the best a parent can provide. Which is obviously not at age 16.

Answer #70

I would say that I shouldn’t be concerned, but I should. If no more than for the simple fact that money comes out of MY paycheck to give money to some of those teen moms. I am fully aware that not all teen moms are not on public assistance, nor do I have a problem with public assistance. I do however have a problem with children who think its a good idea to have a child of their own when they really can’t afford it. The rest of our society has to have money deducted out of their paycheck to support that child. Not only that, but chances are that neither of those children will have the optimal childhood. The parent’s childhood is over for the next 18-21 years, and the baby may have to either be raised by a kid or a grandparent.

Answer #71

Oops. I meant to say “I am fully aware that not all teen moms ARE on public assistance.” Sorry for the typo :X

Answer #72

Its sad for teens to get pregnant, most of the time the baby daddy doesn’t stick around. Go watch the Maury Show!

Answer #73

Its a honest mistake serisouly everyone has just left this alone an quit postin stuff, your on a rampage how to spell thigs right

Answer #74

You guys are missing her point.

Answer #75

People aren’t ‘hating’ on teen mothers. Society just doesn’t want to support young girls who ‘Re@llii wanT a Baybii so ii WiLL haVVe SumthiiNK to lOVe taht lUrVezz Meh Backk’. I agree with everything that Mandyloo has said. I support teens who accidently fall pregnant and try their absolute best to give the child the best life they can. But I have no tolerance for 14 year olds seeking pregnancy then complaining when it leads to an infant.

Answer #76

Because they are are generally too young and unprepared. Therefore, teen pregnancy is something that people generally discourage and see as a negative thing. There is plenty of time to have children when you are not still a child yourself.

Answer #77

no problem :)

Answer #78

ha ha no seriously is this funny or sad? I’m 14 too but i even know how to spell correctly and how to look at things from a different point of view rather than just sticking with your own ideas.

Answer #79

Agreed. I’m 14 soon going to be 15 but i am not planning no baby i know i can’t get a job yet to support a baby and be going to school at the same time, yea i would have my mom’s support and help but i don’t like to depend on other people. I’m not going to say ALL but a lot of teens that get pregnant are usually under the influence of something and i’ve known about MANY girls who while their pregnant they still drink and smoke. do you really think that their going to be a good mom? probably not.

Answer #80

Oh lord. Once they create a child, it’s not just their life anymore. It’s the child’s life too. And saying that we shouldn’t get involved, that we have nothing to do with any of it, is just horrible. There’s a large portion of children of teen moms that are abused, usually because of that horrid feeling of having ruined their life with one stupid careless thing. It’s not about judging anyone. It’s about looking at the facts, looking at the point that people who aren’t responsible enough to use protection, to be careful with something with those obvious consequences, aren’t ready to look after a child.

Answer #81

It doesn’t have anything to do with someone hating teenage girls. It’s because at that point, you’re not only possibly ruining your life, but someone else’s just because you want to fulfill some desire of yours.

A parent has one of the toughest jobs in the world, and even ones that have dealt with the dilemma of dealing with kids still can’t handle the tedious task of actually babying a child for most of their lives. I don’t know how clear anyone can make this, you just can’t do it, your parents are still watching over you and from what it looks like, your own stubbornness is going to get back at you. That’s one of the worst qualities any parent can have, being stubborn and blocking out all opinions.

Once you decide to have a child, it’s no longer “mind your own business, this is my life” you can forget about that, you have another life to take care and if you’re not willing to do it right, someone will intervene. Face it, this isn’t remotely about you and what you want, no, it’s about what the child needs and wants. If you can’t even understand, you might as well ask why is it you want to have a kid in the first place? It’s not a toy, it’s a person.

Answer #82

Because it’s ridiculous for a teenager who is not an adult yet to have a child. Most teenagers who do have kids do not get higher education, get stuck in menial jobs all their lives and their children are less educated than educated people that is a fact. Also I think it is a good thing that people freak out about it, it should under NO circumstances in my opinion become an acceptable thing in our society. Teenagers should use protection and get educated about sex and not get pregnant.

Answer #83

The only way its not a teen girls fault if they get pregnant is if they get raped….but most of teens have kids because their bfs pressure them into doing it..or they just want a kid..

Answer #84

because watching teen mom doesn’t mean you know how to raise another human being. christ if i had a dollar for every time i heard some girl want a kid. i’d be rich >.<

Answer #85

what the hell is everyone saying o_o

Answer #86

HAHAHA! DONT READ My SHiTS iF yhU DONT UNDERSTAND N WHO DF R yHU TO JUDGE ON PPL ANyWAyS..iiMA LET GOD RiDE ON DiS ONE..-NOT GONNA CUSS NO ONE TODAy :-^

Answer #88

THATS THE THiNG SOME OF THESE TEENS DiDNT WANT KiDS GOD JUST SO HAPPEN TO BLESS THEM WHER’S ALL THE NEGATiVE STUFF COMING FROM??

Answer #89

THE NEGATIVE STUFF IS COMING FROM PEOPLE BEING STUPID AND NOT USING PROTECTION. If they can’t slip a hat on it, they can’t take care of an entire separate life.

Answer #90

Its not that people are simple minded. Nobody is judging you personally, and I commend for holding down the fort and being a good mother. With that being said, you must admit that being a teen mother was not easy. Even if you don’t want to admit it, the first four words in the first sentence says it all “I’ve made my mistake”. You called having a child a mistake, no one else put those words in your mouth. As for judging people, you can’t expect people not to judge. Its human nature. Everyone makes judgements. You even made a judgement about the people who voice their opposition on teen pregnancy by calling them “simple minded”. I don’t believe that anyone here is judging you personally. They were simply answering the question. If this is a touchy subject for you and you know your feelings are apt to get hurt, perhaps you should not click on the question and read the responses.

Answer #91

Because people are sick of paying for the babies.

Answer #92

doesn’t it take like forever to write like that?? i mean.. wouldnt it be wayyy easier to just write normal?? wow..

Answer #93

Wow Mandyloo you must have gained so many points from this!

Answer #94

It’s AN honest mistake SERIOUSLY. Although apparently you have learned how to spell the world spell, so that’s good. See here’s the bottom line. The way you spell is one of the few ways you present yourself (especially online). It’s kinda like how you dress or speak in real life. So you’re presenting yourself as ignorant, uneducated and careless. It really does have an impact on how people see you and hear you. You may want to take that into consideration.

Answer #95

well people get raped. its unfair but loreliah is my life now. with her abusive father

Answer #96

wow kay whetever im not watin my time on you!

Answer #97

what you mean

Answer #98

Regan, you need some SERIOUS spelling lessons.

Answer #99

no my compter buttons are stuck thanks an i can spell perfectly fine!

Answer #100

yeah yeah, thats a perfect excuse :] if you cant afford to buy a new keyboard, you cant afford a kid.

Answer #101

Wasting your time? Is that another way of saying, I have no actual defense against my ludicrous stance, thus I am going to get out of this before I look even more stupid?

Answer #102

What DO you mean (seriously, both the D and the O button just happen to be stuck?). And she means that teens who are trying to get pregnant have no excuse. She is not talking about females who are raped, or who fall pregnant accidently after taking precautions.

Answer #103

YES IT IS..i PERSONALLY DONT CARE WHAT PEOPLE THINK ABOUT ME BUT YEA SURE IT WAS HARD BUT STILL I MANAGED TO PULL THROUGH …WHAT MY THING IS PEOPLE WHO DONT KNOW AND GO BY OTHER PEOPLES ISSUES AND HAVNT REALLY BEEN IN THE SITUATION THEMSELVES..N WHy IS THE MAIN FOCUS My HAND WRiTiNG SMH LMAOO POW!..SEE SiMPLE MINDED ONLY THINK ONE WAy …WiTH THAT BEIN SAID My MiSTAKE WAS SLEEPING WITH MY CHILDS FATHER I DIDNT SAy HAVN My CHILD WAS SEE yHU JUST ASSUMED WTF WULD i CALL My CHILD A MiSTAKE iF THAT WAS THE CASE HE WOULDNT BE HERE..THEy ARE MAKING STOOPID REMARKS LMAO…ME HURT NEVER HAHA HAVE FUN WiTH THAT!

Answer #104

ALSO, the majority of people who support teen pregnancy are teen mothers. :O

Answer #105

I feel badly for your child.

Answer #106

So it’s a blessing from a dude who lives in the sky to get pregnant, not be able to support the baby, having to depend on your parents to take care of your mistake, a make the kid’s life miserable by not being able to properly care fom him or her? That soulds like a f*cking treat.

Answer #107

You could’ve ab0rted.

Answer #108

I was a teen mom. And I still won’t hesitate to reprimand someone for not playing it safe. I love my kids for sure, but my social life was GONE at 18. Not just dwindled, but gone. I was irresponsible and I still regret it. The dad almost never sticks around either. Mine didn’t. sigh teenagers are too emotionally unstable and selfish to have kids. Period.

Answer #109

I totally agree.

Answer #110

……Oh, I’m sorry. I assumed you were referring to getting pregnant, since this IS a thread about teen pregnancy and not about sleeping with guys….I didn’t realize I took that out of context. When you said mistake, I instantly thought you were talking about becoming a teen mom since thats what you and everyone else had been talking about on this thread. Are you sure you don’t care what other people think about you? I mean….You keep referring to yourself as if people were even talking about you personally and calling people names. I would think that you would just give your opinion and move on if you really didn’t care what people think.

Answer #111

Kay i can agree with that!!! Sorry if i offended anyone, im not going to argure no more or disagree we all have our own opinons, An your guys opinons have every right to be heard :) so sorry if i did

Answer #112

Answer #115

You were typing your “d”s and “o”s fine before that sentence, that’s a bullsh*t excuse. Just work on your typing so it isn’t so atrocious and people will stop picking on you. You don’t talk like that, do you? So don’t type like that.
