Why do people say cats have nine lives?

Because they don’t really get to hurt when they fall cuz they r supposed to land on thr feet

Just because they don’t die that easy, they can somehow get out of tough situations or something. But really, can’t can die, they don’t literaly have those 9 lives.

It’s a myth in many cultures, that cats have many lives. In some countries, they myth is a little different - Spanish areas say they have 7 lives and many Arabic legends say the number is 6. The myth is based on the natural agility and quickness of cats to escape many dangerous situations. Also leading to this myth might be that cats sometimes (not always!) land on their feet when they fall (they can fall and still hurt themselves).

Because they die after the ninth one for good.
