How Can I Tell My Parents I Wanna Go Mute?

Mute-ism is a psychological disorder or a vow taken for a religious purpose … people don’t just decide to go mute for no reason.

The ability to function in this society requires the need to communicate, and unless you know sign language, your decision not to speak will be construed as rude to other people … particularly those who know you can speak.

I don’t know why you feel the need to do this but, perhaps, you should take the higher road and speak only when it’s necessary rather than all the time or not at all … make a compromise … just get rid of pointless chatter.

The less you speak, the more people listen. I speak very little in real life. I speak only when I have something worth saying and avoid “small talk”. You have no idea how many people understand that as being rude … to go mute, altogether, requires a lot more patience and perseverance than you realize.

I NEVER LIKED TALKING AND I ALWAYS THOUGHT THAT IF I TALK I WOULD BE THE ONE WHO CAUSES TROUBLE OR SOMETHING.
