Parents...mostly dads..

Ok so my dad freaks out when me and my boyfriend are just sitting in my room watching tv on my bed together. I’m sixteen. We have the door open, and the light and tv on, and I have 3 little brothers and sisters running around upstairs too..we’re not gunna do anything?!!! Is he beng to strict? Like tonight, I wasn’t in a very good mood, and I was crying and my and my boyfriend were laying on my bed listening to my ipod..the tv and light was on and the door was open, we didn’t even have any blankets on my bed and the only part of us that was touching was my head on his arm..you could tell we weren’t doing anything. I was even crying so what would we be doing while I was crying? Anyways..my dad started freaking out and yelling and he was like “he should be home it’s 9 o’clock” but it was only 8:45..once again, I am 16…9 o’clock?!!! Ughhh. And even on the weekends he makes me be home at like 10. Is he being too strict or am I over reacting?

I think a little of both…I think your dad is just trying to keep you “his little girl” ya know? but really that does seem a little strict, try talking to him. I have figured out it is easiest to just spit out what you are trying to say than worrying about how to say it if you decide to talk to him… good luck

my dads kinda strict too. not that bad, but Id probably think the exact same thing, that hes overreacting and stuff. I think you should just talk to him about it, and compromise on some rules that make you happier.
