me and this girl have been friends since like kindegarden and we always have talked and been like the best of friends but now we’re a lot older and we like eachother and we were going out then her parents heard that I was a bad kid(which im not) and made her break up with me. and her and me still really like eachother and I need to prove im a good kid to her parents(mostly her dad) what should I do? im thinking of just being a total gentleman look him in the eye and be nice and tell him how nice it is to meet him but I don’t know. please help!

I think the following tips might help you earn good points:

  • when you guys go out, make sure you fetch her at her house and wait for her inside the house. Maybe if the dad is there, you can probably talk to him. Not a lot of guys want to talk to parents and doing that might mean you’re serious with their daughter.

  • when you go out, make sure you come home at the time you agreed with her parents. go to their house to bring her back to her parents who are probably waiting for her.

  • make an extra effort to know her family.

  • come to their family dinner sometime.

  • prove that you’re a good kid by not being part of fights, by having good grades, and studying.

Yeah, hmmm… I think these might help.

Good luck.

Answer #4

Why not meet with him, and tell him what you’ve said here? That you’ve heard that he made the two of you break because he’d heard you were a bad kid. Then ask HIM…”What can I do to prove to you that I am not a bad kid…but a good kid?” First he’ll be taken back by your honesty and directness…but I think he’ll also tell you what you need to do.
