why are my parents acting like this??
seriously…my mom has double pearsed ears and she won’t even let me get my ears pearsed…and she got them when she was 13 I am 14!!!1 she tells me to say please and thank you!!! but then she dosen’t and when she forgots I tell her and she gets pissed!!! AHH!!! how can I get her to stop treating me like a freakon 7 year old??? I act mature, I have a job, my room is always clean, I take care of myself!!! whenever I confront her of treating me like this she flips out and grounds me!!! what do I need to do to prove myself even more responsible??? I am just so pissed right now
my ma does the same exact thing and im almost 17. after a while, I just shut up and didnt say anything to her anymore. from then on out, she started giviing me more and more freedom. I think it might just be the confrontation that pisses them off.
Do small things around the house like doing the laundy, the dishes, etc. Sit down and talk to her. Tell her you’re growing up and that you’re maturing. Do things that will gain some trust from her.
Same with my mother. she is a complete b*tch. but only when she wants to be. I always just stay in my room only leave when I go to work, school,(ect.) came out when I had to use the bathroom, eat,do my laundry(ect) and I NEVER talk to her. and it seems to help. when she has something to say she comes in my room and asks or says and I listen and I NEVER say anything smart. I usually stick with yes,no,ok,maybe,I dont know.
so yeah. just dont talk back and just do excatly what she says and maybe she will come around and give you more freedom.
