Answer #4

im 16 and want a tatoo bt parents said they want nothing to do with it, couldnt I get my friend 18 to come with me?

Answer #5

I wouldn’t advice that… he’s probably not a professional and it could get infected and cause problems if it’s not done right. Go to a REAL professional. That way your SURE that the person knows what they’re doing and that the work will be done right.

And don’t listen to hello_amy - they’re retarded. If you had him go and lie about being your parent, it’d NEVER work. Chances are they’ll want proof that the person IS your parent/guardian and besides, you can’t sign papers in someone else’s name, that’s called forgery and is ILLEGAL. You’d get him busted for fraud! And you wouldn’t want to do that would you? I doubt it, so DON’T listen to hello_amy or that’s what’ll happen.

And if you’d need any tips on how to find/ID a good professional tattoo place, let me know and I’d be happy to share the tips/signs on what to look for and what to look out for.

Answer #6

You should not get a tattoo without your parents knowing. Especially from kid at school that just because he has a tattoo gun he thinks he knows what he’s doing. Everyone around where I live thinks they can be a tattoo artist just because they have a gun. Besides, say you get a tattoo and it becomes infected because you didn’t have the money to take proper care of it until it heals. You’re parents are gonna be even more pissed that you didn’t ask them first. In the end the choice is yours. I can guarantee that you won’t like that tat in a few years. I think you should wait until you either have your parents permission or wait until your 18 to get one.

Answer #7

Ok, you can’t get a tattoo at reputable parlor when you’re 14, with or without parental consent. It’s a bad idea, too, because your body is still growing, and your skin is stretching. By the time you’re 20 it won’t look the same, and it’ll probably look stretched out.

Getting a tattoo by a kid at school who isn’t a professional is an EXTREMELY bad idea. First of all, he almost definitely doesn’t have the equipment needed to properly sterilize the needles. Do you want to get poked by needles that have been used over and over again? That’s how you get blood borne diseases like hep and HIV.

Even if you don’t get a scary illness, do you really want some high school kid doing that tattoo? Most tattoo artists practice for years.

Answer #8

just have one of your friends parents take you and pretend to be your parent

Answer #9

You have to have a parent or legal guardian. Your friend CAN’T since he’s NOT a your legal guardian. And besides, you have to be 18 or older to get a tattoo without parental consent… he’s only 17… he’d also need parental say so. If you want it now, you’ll have to get your parents/guardian to go sign the forms.

Answer #10

You could have the guy at school do it for you. But have you seen any of his work? Do you even know if he is any good. Plus you need to make sure that he uses steralized needles, to help prevent infection. And depending on what they use, some places require certain ointments on it afterwards. Plus were are you getting it is it realy worth hiding it from your parents. If you are getting it and having to hide it from your parents what is the point your never going to get to realy show it off. You only have 3 years tell you can get it legally, why not wait and do it the safe way.
