Parakeet questions: SHoudl I trim my parakeets' wings?

should I trim my parakeets’ wings? I think they’re gonna mate. ooh, and also, my parakeeets won’t eat vegetables. I gave it to them in little pieces, but they’re too scared to eat it. what should I do? and how can I tell if they’re mating? what are some signs they show? also, where should I put my nest box? there are only two doors for a water dish and food dish. then there’s the main door where I take the birds out and yeah yeah. thankfully, the cage is big enough. so I just placed the nest box in the cage, but how can I fix it?

just give them bird food..I tried giving my birds veggies but they were scared too lol and I dotn think you should trim their wings, its so mean!! and about the nest,, just put it on the other side of the cage away from the door

Um… Birds are supposed to eat fruits and veggies on top of their bird food to make sure they are getting all of the vitamins they need. (bird food is not bird seed, seeds should rarely be used) Try fruits, my parrot loves grapes and all parrots that I have seen love mangos. Trimming their wings is not mean, they are feathers and its just like clipping nails. It would be even more mean to allow them the chance to survive outside alone and lost. As for mateing I do not know, it too expensive and the birds that mate will never respect their owner again.
