I have a horrible cold with head and stomach pains at the same time. Would it be safe for me to take painkillers and allergy medicine one after another?( Like take two of each?) More specifically, advil and benadryl? Please answer asap!
Depends on what you call "painkillers" are you referring to Tylenol and Motrin or are you talking about narcotics. If you are talking about over the counter stuff (Tylenol Motrin,Advil, etc) then it depends on what allergy meds you are taking. Are THEY otc meds or prescription! If otc some have Tylenol or Motrin in them and if so then you would be double dosing yourself and that is hard on your liver. If narcotics, some also have otc painkillers added as well,,,Percocet, Vicodin. Both can be the main drug alone or can contain aspirin, Tylenol. Or Motrin as well so again you would be double dosing on the otc meds. Check the active ingredients on the allergy med box (if otc) and check for acetominophen or ibuprofen---Tylenol and Motrin)if included don't take the others with it Any questions, feel free to email me!
